Vitamins and Nutrition Supplements
56Poor Us
The information age has brought us "information overload," and now our well-intentioned brains have been filled with contradiction after contradiction. So many viewpoints are being presented to us via so many various "authorities" that we just don't know what to believe anymore.
This is as true in the world of health, diet, exercise, and vitamins and nutrition supplements as it is anywhere. I'll offer a few examples.
- Is milk good for us, or bad?
- Are we supposed to eat meat?
- Is low-carb dieting healthy... or extremely dangerous?
- Is red wine beneficial to our health, or is that just an excuse to drink?
- What makes us fat? Too many calories? Too much fat? Too many carbs? Too much acidity? Bowel congestion? Genetics?
- Do avocados make us fat?
- Are once daily multivitamins good for us, or bad?
I don't need to tell you the list goes on and on. You probably came up with a few examples of your own as you were reading! Am I right?
So What IS The Truth?
There's a book from the 1980's written by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond called Fit For Life that to this day I still use as my ultimate guidebook for finding my own answers. It encourages the implementation of a basic principle that the majority of us are privy to.
The principle is called common sense.
Using this amazing principle, I could go on to address my list of examples above. But I have no interest in stirring up any "dairy debates," or food fights of any kind for that matter.
So instead I'll address only the last example: Are once daily multivitamins good for us, or bad? The answer is simple: Vitamins and Nutrition Supplements made chemically in a lab by folks in white coats are very, very BAD.
Vitamins and Nutrition Supplements made naturally using concentrated whole-food sources such as vegetables, fruits, grains, seeds, roots, herbs, sea vegetation, etc. are extremely GOOD! Extremely. Why? Well, let's really dive head-first into some common sense here.
Our bodies are natural. The fuel sources our bodies recognize and use are natural, as well. It's called food. That's what our cells want.
Synthetic Vs. Natural
Chemically created multivitamins with their unpronounceable ingredients and crushed up "mineral" rocks are rejected by the body.
This is apparent when we take these types of supplements and are treated to foul-tasting "vitamin burps," heartburn, the jitters, and/or fluorescent green urine. In short, this garbage is both harmful (what part of crushed-up rocks in your body sounds safe?) and completely useless!
All natural vitamins and nutrition supplements, however, are just about the greatest gift you could possibly give yourself in regards to your health, energy, emotional balance, immune system function, hair, skin, nails, mental clarity... everything!
These types of supplements are quite simply put, little miracle workers! They are very easily recognized, assimilated, and used by the body. Simply put, they will transform you in just about every way.
You'll look better, feel better, function better, and be a better example for others to follow! It's wonderful, powerful stuff. Please do NOT overlook the importance of whole-food supplementation.
Where To Look?
You'll be hard-pressed to find whole-food vitamins and nutrition supplements in a corner drugstore. After all, it's "drugs" that we're trying to avoid here.
Your local health food store is a much better option.
I recommend you get yourself a whole-food multivitamin, complete with probiotics, enzymes, and chelated minerals. Also, a good antioxidant supplement will skyrocket your results. Green tea and the acai berry are two antioxidant powerhouses!
In addition, be sure to fully hydrate yourself every day. Four to six liters of purified water will keep your cells plump and active, your skin radiant, your energy up, and your whole body renewed. It will flush out the toxins that your natural supplements are "jarring loose" and keep all the elements of your perfect health regimen working together, synergistically!
Cut out the fast food, sodas, and desserts (substitute fresh fruit and/or yogurt for cakes, candies, and pastries), hydrate and supplement daily, and watch your entire life change in the most dramatic way you've likely ever experienced.
You're going to do great! Thank you for reading.
