Voice speech recognition

I got the idea to try using speech recognition for my hub writing. This is my attempt to use my voice and speech recognition software to write a hop totally on the edited. You will find mistakes in this text, because the speech recognition software is not perfect. The software I am using came with my computer and is windows speech recognition. This hot but will be my experiment to see how useful speech recognition can be.

Although I can use my voice to added that taxed. I am going to leave the text totally wrong and unedited, because I want everyone who reads this jury Allies how accurate sample speech recognition software can be. The rest of this hub will explain what I believe are the pros and the cons of speech recognition software.

Pros of using voice speech recognition

One of the benefits of speech recognition software is that you can speak much faster than you can type.  This is what speech recognition software companies advertise.  They claim that most people type and under 40 words per minute while they can speak almost three times as fast.

But another benefit of speech recognition software as the freeing out of your hands.  If you want you can set and play guitar while you are writing a hub.  Of course the speech recognition software might take out the guitar as your own voice.  This could create problems.

But on other benefit of using your voice and speech recognition software is that you’re writing it may sound more fluid like natural conversation.  This may be easier for your reader if you are not scale that writing.  Sentences may flow smoother.

Cons of using voice speech recognition

The first rollback of using voice speech recognition is an accuracy.  The time you may save and not typing can easily be used up in the correction process.  Editing for your mistakes, or the software still skate stakes, can easily make the process not worth it.  If you already know your way around a keyboard you may be better off sticking with typing.  This hub was written with only two training sessions for the computer, and I think with more training the computer will understand me better.  This will make this a more worthwhile technique for producing content quickly.

Another rollback of using voice speech recognition is that you still have to be able to think of what you want to write very quickly.  The creative process is not sped up.  You can, however, shut your eyes if you want individualize what you’re talking about.  Ms way you are free from having to look at the computer screen.  Of course, if you were proficient at typing anyway, you could a tight without looking at the screen and added later anyway.

Conclusion of using voice speech recognition

It appears that this software is about 80% accurate now. My accuracy for typing is much higher. Talking slowly and focusing on pronouncing words perfectly slows me down dramatically. As of now this technique does not seem reasonably efficient. I will continue to train the software to understand my voice batter. One day I may be able to quickly right content by simply talking, but for now I will continue to tight my thoughts. I believe in the future voice recognition software will become better and better at understanding the human voice, which is a very complicated thing to understand. I look forward to this technology growing into a more usable and efficient mode of communication.

With a bluetooth microphone, you could write content for your hubs while you are doing chores around the house. In my case, I would use it in the bathroom, where I do my best thinking and idea generation.

I think it was fun using the voice recognition as a novelty, and I am willing to give it a shot again on hubs that I don't need much research for.
