WALL SAFES- BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY

Gun Safe In The Wall
You read about the statistics
on burglary in the nation. Its quite horrendous. Some say that a burglary
happens every minute or so. Its a scary thing, to think that we are
all vulnerable to the devices of thievery. That means that no
matter where you live, there will be criminals who specialize in the
business of robbing you and those like you. Lower class neighborhoods
may be those that we picture crawling with thieves, and upper class
may be the class that seems so well protected that its the high end
thieves that plot against them. But for the majority of us, living in
middle class society, we are actually the most vulnerable to the whims
of thieves and burglars. We tend to have enough money to own goods of
a slightly more valuable sort, but we don't protect ourselves against
crime like we should.
There are many reasons that
you might not have thought to buy a safe. We all know that no matter
the true value of an item, the minute you lock it up you are saying
it is worth protecting, which also means that it is worth stealing,
in a very crooked point of view. So sometimes it seems counter intuitive
to purchase something that will paint a big target over your house.
But the truth of the matter, that's not how it works, if you take the
proper steps to make sure your valuables are kept safe, you will find,
they stay safe. Although it is an investment, you have to take the time
to prepare properly. The sad truth of the matter is that safes are not
going to be cheap, if its quality, its going to cost you a little bit.
See, in the consumerist buy
now buy cheap world of today, you can go out to any store, WalMart,
Target, Lowes, Home Depot and purchase a safe but I hope you don't feel
safe keeping your things tucked behind the flimsy imitation walls and
bolts. These companies, in a desire to sell sell sell, make deals with
safe contractors to use cheaper materials, and to make the safes faster
so that they can sell them quickly to you, the uninformed buyer. But
lets inform you, safes, even safes that are UL listed, are no longer
foolproof trust worthy safes. All it takes is brute strength to get
your safe open. You can find clips on youtube that will show you. Two
untrained men with crowbars, can break into a safe simply by knocking
it over and prying the door open. Because we have shorted ourselves
on using quality material, we are shorting ourselves on being safe.
But don't be discouraged against
getting a safe for your valuables. If you do no prepare to defend yourself
against burglars, your valuables are eye candy, they are simply tempting
the devil to send you a load of hurt. Valuables kept in the open, are
valuable sitting ducks. Valuables kept in a safe, may have a target
painted on them. But if you take the right steps, they will remain your
valuables. Buy a safe, a quality safe. These sort of safes have thick
steel walls, and bolts. Bolt your safe into the ground, or have it installed
securely into your wall. Keep the door closed and locked at all times.
And if you are getting things out of your safe, as they are your things,
to be used whenever you want, always secure the safe behind you. It
seems that the age old adage may be most appropriate here, better safe
than sorry.
