Avoid contact with direct sunlight wear sunglasses and hats! When you notice that perspiration has become more intense then this is when it is time to get out of the heat!
Never drink masses of fluid at one time while in the heat sip on your drink! It is usually better the warmer the drink the better you are (again forcing your body to sweat).
If you get over heated never ever bring your body in direct contact with temperature below 76 degrees this will cause one of two things shock or stroke. Gradually take your clothing off piece by piece sipping on Luke warm water this will bring your body temperature down gradually and will not cause your body to go into a sudden shock!
If the temperature outside is more than 96 degrees then spend no more than a half hour in the heat!
Once you have spent the thirty minutes in the heat treat your body as if you would a car sit and rest do nothing let you bodies’ coolant system take into affect!
Never ever get into a bath or shower for at least an hour after your have been in the heat this will create shock and/or stroke!
If you think you have suffered a heat stroke please go to the nearest Emergency Room! Heat strokes are as fatal as a regular stroke and affect the elderly and children alike!
Just as you take precaution in the cold you must take precautions for the heat!
Please also never forget your animals in the heat they too can suffer heat strokes give them plenty of water while they are out to play however when the temperature is over 95 degrees they too should be kept indoors! Remember they have a right to live as well and it is up to their owners to allow them the full availability to that right!

We have had a really hot summer here. Often times, we take wet bath towels with us, and spread over our shoulders, which helps dramatically to reduce the amount of heat, and to keep the body cooled down.
