WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE: Prince Charming

Men rack their brains wondering how to please a woman but most of the time, they just wind up unsuccessful and disappointed.

Is it because they lack the proper communication skills? Are they just clueless and too self-absorbed to worry about our feelings?

No.

The truth is that we don't even know what we want. We just think that we do.

I bet that you could ask any woman to list the qualities that she looks for in a man, and she could ramble a list of at least 20 things off of the top of her head.

Then ask her if she knows anyone like this Dream Man. Usually, it will be followed by a comment like, "Men like that don't exist; Why do I even bother?"

Well, you are absolutely correct. THEY DO NOT EXIST.

But ~*Kristie Lynn*~, are you trying to tell me that there are no good men left in the world?

No, actually there are plenty. They are just sick and tired of asking themselves...

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT FROM ME??!!

In that aspect, they are clueless. And so are we.

We spend our lives piecing together an image of a man. Bit by bit, we assemble him, mold him, and fall head over heels in love with him.

This man does not exist.

Real Men are out there, and they are not him. "Men are Dogs... Men are This... Men are That" is a horrible detriment to our society.

Men will be what we expect them to be.

You can expect him to treat you badly and misuse you, and so he will. I guarantee it.

Because you were never really in love with him to begin with. You just thought he was the closest thing to that Prince Charming that you'd fallen in love with soooo sooo long ago at a frilly pink tea party.

The Dream Man needs to die.

No one is coming on a white horse.

You can sit and wait, if you'd like, but don't hold your breath. He was YOUR creation, remember? So why are you looking for him in the external atmosphere?

Take a man as he comes. Take him as he is. Face Value.

So often we make the mistake of connecting with someone who shares part of what our Dream Man is. We think that we know what we want.

But your Dream Man is a lie. He is a fabrication.

And until you let him go...

You'll never find the real one. You'll NEVER know exactly what you want, until you find the one you want.

It's time, ladies. Send Prince Charming to ride off into the sunset. Say goodbye and don't look back.

You really have no idea what the hell you want. You haven't even met him yet.
