Somewhere admist the whirlwind of what is right and wrong, compromising and being fair...I have an opinion. I have a strong opinion and belief system that relates entirely to me. What I believe to be right and wrong, good or bad or even fair and unfair...relates to me directly – and only me. And yes, it does affect my life and it affects yours too, but not in that I will force my opinion on you... or throw it in your face.... my opinion and the guidelines I have set out for MYSELF...will merely affect how much attention I pay to you, how much time I spend with you and how much respect I personally give to you (and this percentage stays in my head!).

For those of you who battle to follow... you may have completely different beliefs to me...you may believe something to be okay or alright whereas I will believe that very same thing to be on the opposite end of the scale. How does our difference in opinion or belief show? You simply will not find me at your side at every social event you attend. You probably will not be invited to my personal celebrations (and me not to yours) and ultimately, I will not waste the precious little time that I have been awarded, trying to fit in with you. Simply put...if you want to see who I take the time to closely relate to and who I have similar beliefs, values and morals to...just take a moment to look at my friends. Look closely at whom I spend time with most often and you will have a better understanding of where I am headed.

If you are a deceitful person who has confided in me, if you are a rogue who I have spent countless months helping and hoping will get better, if you are just one of those down and out people in it for themselves who I have given the time of day.... you are the very people who have helped push me in this positive direction. I may not always know what I want out of or from life, but I certainly know what I DONT want out of or from it.

Just this morning I was checking my facebook account and was faced with a number of stabs at people who choose to belong to and believe in the Christian faith. My believe or faith in this system is completely irrelevant... it just occurred to me that maybe those who choose to not be religious should leave those who choose to be, alone. If one man chooses to thank God for all he has done in his life (or at least what this person believes God to have done) then so be it...who are we to decide whether this is right or wrong or wasted effort. Wasted effort would be to spend time trying to condemn someone for doing something they feel brings positivity into their lives.

And with that I end of this little rant. For those who are close to me and are in my immediate group of friends... thank you, for you have added much value and meaning to my life. For those of you flailing around in the dark wondering why I no longer "give you the time of day"...wonder no more....simply read above!
