Female Wrestler-Mickie James

WWE Diva Mickie Laree James was born on August 31, 1979 in Montpelier, Virginia.

She is a female pro wrestler currently wrestling for the WWE on it's Raw show.

But before the WWE Mickie wrestled extensively in the US. She started out as a valet back in 1999 and soon moved onto the wrestling ring. Mickie was trained at Dory Funks "Funking Conservatory" (other graduates of Dory's wrestling school include Kurt Angle, Edge, Christian Cage, Rhino, Lita, Paul London and Matt and Jeff Hardy) and at the KYDA Pro Training School. She also trained at the ECW dojo for a time. In addition to all of that, she also attended wrestling camps run by Ricky Morton (The Rock 'n' Roll Express) and Bobby Eaton (The Midnight Express).

Mickie started out using the name Alexis Laree which was a combination of her real name and a name she used on stage as a dancer.Her first match was an intergender tag team match with Jake Damian against American Mike Brown and Candie.

During the time Mickie wrestled on the Indy Circuit, she held the SCW Diva title, the UWF Women's Wrestling title, the PWF Women's Wrestling title, the CSWF Women's Wrestling title, the ICW Junior Heavyweight title, the DCW Women's title and the Ultimate Championship Wrestling Women's title.Even though Mickie had all of that success, she had to take a job as a waitress at the Olive Garden to make ends meet.

Mickie moved up to the Ring of Honor wrestling promotion which lead her to working for TNA Wrestling.While in TNA, she became the first member of Raven's "The Gathering" and had a feud with Trinity (Stephanie Finochio).She also became the first woman to compete in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match.

While continuing to wrestle for TNA, she was sending tapes of her wrestling to the WWE in hopes of moving to their organization. After a try out match against Dawn Marie, she was signed to the WWE and sent to their Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) training program.In OVW, she would tangle with a few ladies that she would work with later in the WWE including Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix and Shelly Martinez (Ariel).

Mickie moved to the WWE in October of 2005 using her real name (which she had been using in OVW) and started a storyline with her as the biggest fan of then WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus.Mickie put in a performance that echoed and rivaled Victoria's old "Psycho" persona. Mickie acted "crazy as a bit 'coon" as JR put it, but it seemed the crazier Mickie acted, the more the fans embraced it. At one point, Mickie was getting a bigger "pop" than Trish in the match intros and during the matches.

Mickie finally turned "face" and engaged in feuds with Lita and Melina.

Today, Mickie is still a fan favorite with a very large and loyal online following.

She has held the WWE Women's Wrestling Championship four times so far.

Besides her ring appearances, Mickie has guest starred on Celebrity Fit Club Boot Camp and Psych.

She also has her associate of arts degree in business administration and is studying for her Bachelor of Arts degree.
