Matt Hardy finally lost his United States Championship as he lost against Shelton Benjamin at THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH. Tommy Dreamer got a match against Mark Henry for the ECW match. He did a great match and was going to win but suddenly his own disciple, Nunzio pushed Dreamer and Henry, did a thunderous Spine-Buster which made him retain his ECW Champion title.

The very long story between Y2J and HBK was perhaps coming to an end. That fight which begun at BACKLASH was becoming dangerous as Michaels was playing with an injured eye at AMERICAN BASH. Jericho was also clear that he wanted to end HBK’s career. The match begun and both fight brilliantly with a little advantage to Michaels. The Show Stopper was going to perform Sweet Chin music when Lance Cade came and prevented Michaels. HBK beat Cade, then Y2J came which also got beaten. But Y2J, with a last reflex gave a kick to Michaels’s left eye with his elbow. This opened the injury. Michaels was given kicks and tried to win with a Cross-face but Y2J resisted and continued his domination.

Shawn Michaels was a real gamer and never wanted to submit even recovered with blood. But the referee couldn’t let him continued the match and declared Michaels unable to continue the match. ‘Y2Jerk’ won and some minutes later, he came to say that doctors declared that HBK won’t be able to wrestle anymore. The World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk was going to defend for the first time his title on Pay-Per-View against Batista and everyone was saying that it will also be the last time.

CM Punk said that he is in the WWE business to prove everyone wrong and by beating Batista at the GREAT AMERICAN BASH; he will prove to everybody that he is here to remain and to rule. CM Punk and Batista had different styles and so it was a great match even if Batista had the advantage. He was going to win when Kane, who was acting weird lastly, came and beat Batista, did a Choke-Slam to CM Punk and gave a Big Foot in the face of the cameraman. He had a bag with him. Only he perhaps knew what was inside him.

Next was another confrontation which was going to more brutal as never. It was a New York City Parking Lot Brawl Match contested by John Cena and JBL. Two opponents surrounded by tractors, cars, automobiles and anything that they could use as a weapon. JBL entered the parking with a steel stick but John Cena was not coming. JBL was searching for him when suddenly a car knocked on him. The latter didn’t fall and Cena came out of the car and attacked JBL. He beat him and even electrified JBL’s penis. But JBL after some time riposted and he also shocked the audience by putting Cena into a car and then put that car on fire.

But the WWE security intervened and Cena enraged beat at his turn JBL and put him in a car. Then he used a tractor and rushed into that car. Cena, then, brought that car to the Narcissa Coliseum. JBL was not even able to stand properly on his feet. After some minutes, The Chain Gang Commander was going to do a FU on JBL. But Cena took too much time. A desperate JBL escaped from Cena’s clutches and pushed Cena on the car which Cena brought to the Coliseum. Cena fell on his arm and JBL pinned the latter, a pin-fall which give him the victory.

Finally it was Edge v/s Triple H. Everyone was waiting that WWE Championship match after Edge’s wedding disaster. Edge, desperate, attacked The Game, furiously. Edge’s resiliency and his fury were confronted to The Game’s experience and power. This gave a well-balanced match. At a moment, both players were almost K.O and Alicia Fox; Edge’s ‘new girlfriend’ came and tried to give Edge, the WWE title as weapon. But Vicky Guerrero came and charged on Alicia. Both were fighting when Edge, aiming to spear Alicia, speared Vicky. Alicia left the ring and Edge, confused did not know what to do when …Pedigree! The King of Kings did a Pedigree on Edge while he was confused. Edge lost and HHH remained WWE Champion.
