About WWE Pro-Wrestling

The WWE (formerly WWF) is a fun brand of sports entertainment. World Wrestling Entertainment has been in operation for years entertaining fans of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs. It's often been called a male soap opera involving men (and women) performing in the squared circle in tights. Weekly TV programs include Monday Night Raw, ECW on Sci-Fi, WWE Superstars and Smackdown on Friday nights.

There's also several prestigious titles represented by belts in the ranks of the WWE. The best known title is the WWE Title, but there's also the Intercontinental Title, the WWE Women's Title, the Tag Team Titles, the Divas Title, the United States Championship and the ECW Title. These belts are defended during the various television programs, live house shows (usually not televised), and at special Pay-Per-Views.

The WWE holds monthly Pay-Per-View events in addition to their television programs. These special events feature high profile matches involving feuds or titles. Some of the most popular WWE Pay-Per-Views are Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Summerslam and Survivor Series.

Some of the well known wrestlers from WWE include: Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, The Big Show, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Batista, Randy Orton, Edge, Jeff Hardy and John Cena. These guys put it all on the line day in and out as they do their best to entertain WWE fans around the world.

In addition to these superstars are the red hot WWE Divas. The divas are beautiful, talented women who wrestle as well. Some of the popular divas are Trish Stratus, Stacey Keibler, Sable and Torrie Wilson. Current divas include Mickie James, Candice Michelle, Kelly Kelly, Maria Kanellis, Melina and Michelle McCool.

With the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania going down in history in 2009, the WWE now looks forward to 2010 with Wrestlemania 26 and well into the future as its sports entertainment legacy continues!
