Got a phone call at 5:02 this morning from my #1 Babe. She lives in Las Vegas, three time zones west of me. She just finished work. She’s neither a Vegas hooker nor a stripper. Anyway, she often calls me when she’s done work. Rather than minding the interruptions in my sleep pattern, call me crazy, but I welcome them.

I was gonna go back to bed, but suddenly realized I had to get a blood test this morning – for what seems to be a sluggish thyroid. Since it was almost 6 a.m. by the time I got off the phone, I decided to go the wellness center and get it over with. I was their third customer of the day, in and out in 10 minutes. So I decided to thank her for the wake up call.

We’re both on Facebook, so I decided to post the music video “Wake Up Call” on her wall, to thank her for inadvertently doing me a favor. So I clicked on the “Music/YouTube” link and downloaded the Maroon 5 version of the song.

I neither watch many music videos nor do I know any other songs by Maroon 5, but I discovered the song “Wake Up Call” about a year ago and really like it. It’s one of the 204 songs on my Ipod. So I downloaded the song onto my #1 Babe’s wall and clicked the “play” button to see if it was working. And what a pleasant surprise. I liked the video so much, I watched it four times.

In contemporary vernacular, it was “bangin’.” Filmed as if it were a movie trailer, besides the song itself, it was full of action, adventure, explosions, and plenty of hot chicks. When it comes to women, I have very narrow parameters, yet all of these sweet young things would’ve made the cut – except one. Which one? You figure it out.

My enjoyment of the video led me to do some quick research about the group.

The group’s website - maroon5.com - describes Maroon 5's music as alternative rock with a little bit of soul, and lists 516 songs to Maroon 5's credit. Maroon 5 members are Adam Levine (vocals/guitar), Jesse Carmichael (keyboards), Mickey Madden (bass), Ryan Dusick (drums), and James Valentine (guitar).
