In an effort to beat the prices of all their competitors, local Wal-Mart stores and Wal-Mart.com are now offering a small selection (fifteen) of General Electric household appliances for under $40!

This no doubt is good news to the G.E. conglomerate since recent news reports have stated: "The conglomerate's third-quarter results showed just how fragile the U.S. economy remains, as its troubled financial unit dragged down earnings 44 percent, despite gains in divisions that make wind turbines, household appliances and broadcast television shows." - The Sarasota Herald-Tribune

Items such as the GE 12-Cup Coffee Maker, 1300 watts; GE Electric Skillet; and the GE 3-Liter Deep Fryer are going for $39 in the store and on site.

What does this mean for holiday shoppers?

Simple. -Great household appliances on the cheap.
