Enjoying this great gig, my daughter turned to me and described Dominic Lash's fingers on the double bass as a walking painting in animation. That inspired me to write:

the picture changes

as in frames

animated fingers

sketching together

syncopated blur

across skeletal piano keyboard

coupling raging sax

and lady rhythm

music to my ears
