Walking the Thin Rope
53It was said that the path that door that leads to the pearly gates is a very tight squeeze. I pondered on how thin this line actually is and pictured in my mind, a canvas of white light, one pen, one pencil and one paint brush. My thoughts were on which tool will draw the line so thin, that two would become one?
My first thought was the pen of course. It has the smallest point, you could acuratly draw a pretty thin line with it, but still their would exist a divide and no room for mistakes. So, I ruled out the pen.
Next, I examined the pencil. With a pencil I could fine tune the point and erase the imperfections, yet a dividing line would still exist.
So then I settled on the paint brush. At first glance, a paint brush is much too thick, too broad with an unstable tip, it would take quite a masterful painter to draw a line finer than a pencil. Yet even with the most masterful of painters, the elite, blessed and fully knowledgeable in the art of painting, there would still exist a dividing line.
So, I started to think some more. Since a line exist no matter what tool you use, which one would come the closest. Which art would be the best choice. The pen, I though, is very good for writing a message, a pencil can give more detail and room for mistakes, yet I decided to become a painter and match the color of the light.
Thou two separate entities exist, the colors bleed together and make two become one. Once together you can not separate the two and your path has become incredibly large.
