A few days back I read an article on Yahoo health tips which said 'walk ten years of your age' the summery of which i would like to share with you all.

Our body's ability to take in maximum amount of oxygen declines as we age. In other words, we simply wouldnot have the same level of energy as we used to have earlier. But the good news is that walking regularly can help one to be energetic and healthy. Walking is also very effective for weight loss and beating depression. Walking reduces cardio-vascular disease by 30-50 percent, helps to reduce osteo arthritis pain, increase stability, endurance and agility. It also reduces the risk of colon cancer and breast cancer. It can help in controlling Diabetes and lower blood glucose. Walking is also effective in reducing the risk of heart attack. Research shows that walking can also help one in lowering the stress levels. A brisk walk is proved to boost the blood circulation in all parts of the body, including the brain.

So let us all put our walking shoes and walk our way to health.

Walking is the best excercise. Walking is a natural massager, which helps to keep body to control the weight and provide the enrgy flow!

Walking is a simple form of exercise and can be done without much eforts. So we should all not have any excuse not doing it. Who does'nt want to stay fit afterall. Thanks for the comments.

People say "I need a walk to clear my head" -- what really clears their head is the endorphins that walking releases. It is -- in my opinion -- one of the best forms of exercise for health and mental well being as well. Thanks for reminding us. =)
