Wall St pockets the loot

Bailout money used for buyouts!

Wall St is using your money to buy more banks.

There will be very little money left over to support freeing up credit for the domestic market to survive the meltdown and so it won't survive and nor will this new Obama Government, as it's stupidity is now there for all to see.

The daily reckoning

Your money is already being used to purchase assets by the greedy uncontrollable Wall St. crooks and Barry has just anointed another fox for the hen house.

Timothy Geithner

As you wait for the effect of your massive investment in these financial institutions to free up credit so you can keep your house or small business they are spending it not on freeing up lines of credit and supporting bank exchanges oh no, they are buying up other assets with your dough to make themselves richer still. This is not about underpinning the economy, this is about powerful people enriching themselves with the public purse.

They have lost the plot completely as usual by leaving out the only important asset they have. You.

Sadly Obama doesn't get it either.

Barry Obama has already shown that he either does not get it, or is unable to do anything to stop these super-rich Wall St criminals.

In hiring Tim Geithner who is just another Henry Paulson he has shown that nothing has changed, the fox is still in the chicken coop and the American banks have learnt nothing from the meltdown.

Already more than 140 billion has gone from the bailout money to finance acquisitions by BAC, Citibank, PNC, USB and others.

There will be little or nothing left of your money soon, as all the banks race out to spend it all.

All your money is doing is paying for these bastards to spend up big tax free to acquire more assets, and as usual these assets will eventually crash too as in their haste to get richer and bigger they forgot the fundamentals they left out last time that got us in to this mess.

The greedy are always blind. Push people out of their homes, force small business closures, destroy peoples lives for a dime.

The super rich are super dumb and have not even considered that they will eventually need the public to invest lend and borrow in the market place.

After all their job is to sell money and the question will be to who?

There will be no credit, no lending and no economy left after this fiasco.

The government is going to help them achieve this by blindly following along behind the time bomb created by these losers.

What do they do after the have eaten all the chickens? There will be no eggs of course and they are so stupid they have not seen that they must eventually have customers.

There won't be any customers left and they will all go broke along with the people they robbed! Clever? The public will rebel eventually of course and do their homework out of necessity but it is already too late.

Same old stuff.

The same thinking that has seen people living on the streets while their home is empty, going down in value and being vandalized while still following the idea that if you are a dime overdue with a payment they must destroy you and your asset value (their security) which in turn destroys them rather than take a small hit for a short time and keep you as a customer and maintain the value of their investments.

I stick by what I have said in my other hubs, while reluctantly admitting that I was wrong in thinking Obama would be different and offer some hope to the American public.

Mud is smarter than that!

Americans you must tell Barry to get rid of Tim Geithner. He was there and saw it all saying and doing nothing. Geithner is another blind greedy idiot.

Americans must soon realize that Presidents and financiers are ordinary people not gods, and may not know as much about life as you do.

After all most of us live in the real world where we have learnt that we need to support others for our own survival.

They have not worked that out yet, the greed for money and power has made them blind as bats without radar.

They will become the biggest of nothing with no market to sell to.

Our Government in Australia will do the same and so will our banks just like the rest of the "free" world economies.

George Bush.

George Bush was right about one thing in his last speech, the money is going elsewhere. problem is the Asian countries it is going to will only have their own market left to sell to, and they could possibly survive simply because they have huge populations and their domestic market will give them some chance of staying at least partly afloat without us.

I am gutted by what Is going to happen and I see no sign of hope at all unless we have a total turn around in thinking and challenge these mongrels to reverse the whole bailout and show every cent used goes where it should.Directly in to support for the Americans who are struggling. They need bailing out, not the never-enough rich bankers.

Let them fall, other more sensible bankers will arise out of the ashes and buy up the only worthwhile debt out there. the money owed by the American consumer. They will always pay their bills....if allowed to.

Screw the fear based "we have to save the banks" bull dust.

This "bailout" was never going to happen. Greed and stupidity wins again!

Earnesth, give Obama some slack. he is only the President -elect and has no power or control on what is presently going on ,except for choosing his team. It is Paulson from the Bush Administration that have been calling the shots. Let's see what happens after January 20,2009.

I do recall that before Bush our counrty was deficit free, the economy was running on all cylinders, consumer confidence was high, spending was at an all time high, rates were good and America was revered as a powerhouse. Our country can get back there. I do agree that the bankers and oil mongers are getting rich off of us but that is not Obama's fault. I agree with laringo's comment, let's see what happens next year. Even then it will not be immediate this mess will take some time to clean up.

Good call laringo, but he has appointed Tim Gerthner as head of treasury and that is a mistake of enormous proportions.

I had hoped he would get the Presidency, but now I am thinking that we will be in for more of the same. As I said in this blog, Geithner saw all that was happening and said and did nothing about it. I would love to be wrong about this, and yes time will tell.

T.A Northburg, I do hope you are right, but if you look at Geithners track record it looks bad for Obama.

Pre Bush you were definitely in better shape, but the writing was on the wall already with the legislation already in place to produce the sub-prime meltdown. Thank you both for opening up discussion. I would love to hear more from both of you, and how you feel about Geithners pending appointment to treasury.

Yes, I do understand your concern. Hopefully Obama is aware of this and will lead the way, so mistakes won't be made by those who sat by the wayside before. I admit, I don't know much on Tim Gerthner, but I plan on doing some research tonight. Thanks for the feedback.

I also understand as I have seen friends and neighbors robbed of their assets and I do have to say that I am concerned as well, however I do hope Obama sees it too. Tell me what could we do to stop the spiral, who would we write to? Who would we petition? Love the article and I read it word per word. :)

Thanks for reading Laringo. Tim Gerthner is worth researching as he is going to have a massive amount of say in the future of America.

AEvans. Thanks for the comment. I would assume that it would be your congressman that you need to write too, but then I am an Ozzie and one of our American friends may have some good ideas, and I would invite any comments on this from other American hubbers, as something needs to be done now.

Often our Governments forget that your friends and neighbors are real people with real children to feed.
