Wall mounted fish tank
82Wall mounted fish tanks come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, even prices. You can pick up a small fish tank aquarium for pennies or splash out on an enormous exotic feature built into your homes structure. What ever design your itching after you should be able to find it online with a little bit of looking around.
Fish tank aquariums can provide a great home for your new pets, all you have to do is keep it clean, which you can even get a little help with from creatures that eat algae. Once everything's setup it's pretty smooth sailing, the only difficult thing is getting the right balance between chemicals in the water and it's temperature.
Now, two options are available for your wall mounted fish tank, and that's glass or acrylic. Both have their strength's and weaknesses, lets point out the obvious ones. Glass can break easily while acrylic (plastic) holds together when knocked or hit. Having young kids around swinging objects is probably going to put you off the glass tank. A benefit of glass tanks though is that is doesn't scratch easily. Acrylic tends to become fairly scratched over time, which is going to lead to blurring and a relatively 'cheap' look for your fish tank.
Large fish tanks are going to have trouble being mounted in the regular fashion. Water is just soo heavy that you are going to need some form of structural support to keep it up. Have you ever tried lifting even a small fish tank? Perhaps a regular fish tank aquarium can be just as effective. Obviously, if you have your heart set on a very large wall mounted fish tank aquarium then go for it, but just be prepared for all the extra work. Any structure change may effect the value on your home, what happens if you go to sell and the buyer doesn't like fish tanks? exact.
Get your hands on one of the smaller fish tanks that can be constructed onto a wall easily. Remember folks, it's important not to over fill your tank, one inch of fish per gallon of fish, these are the standard rules.
Right, now a few golden rules to keeping the fish in your wall mounted fish tank happy. Give them a few real plants, not those fake plastic kind guys. A couple of nice water plants are going to please your fish, (hey they might want somewhere to hide you know?) and it will also help you keep the natural levels in the water in tact. Plants play a big role in the nitrogen cycle. If you don't know what the nitrogen cycle is folks read up on it because it's a vital aspect of a fish tank aquariums environment.
I hope you have great success in keeping a fish tank aquarium, you can't beat nature for scenery, you really can't. I know it sounds difficult, and i've brought up a few things you may not have considered but it is worth it folks, go and get your wall mounted fish tank ready today.
