It`s my hope that here on this site, Walmart Associates will be able to air their complaints, dirty laundry, praise ,photos, and comments on everything Walmart,the good the bad and the ugly. Being the worlds biggest retailer with over a million employees and counting we should see some very interesting stuff . Hey,
Let`s get this thing rollin` I guess I should first tell you all a little about me. I am an in-stock associate at store 3339 ( lookin good feelin fine) It`s pretty hard to look good and feel fine when your hours have been cut from 40 to 35 a week but more freight than ever is coming in cause sales are up (sales up profit down sumthangs wrong I tell you) in Vineland New Jersey. The store is a super center and use to be a MONSTER or thats what we were told one cold nite in February by GEORGE during his little pep rally. 3 weeks later hours were cut. Anyhow I digress,I`ve been with the company since Nov `08 and the store opened in Jan `09. Like a lot of folks Walmart was not my !st choice for employment...but ...circumstances led me to there and I`m glad to be working. As I said before I started this site because I truly believe there is no way for Associates to be heard and the ``open door policy`` is a crock. It seems that management (asst mgrs and above think they know everything and most don`t know their ass from 1st base) Walmart employs people from all walks of life with tons of experience and work history LET`S HEAR FROM YOU. Associates and management are all welcome to comment and post...... I will edit anything that is not appropriate

By the way....so far there have been over 2000 hits to Walmart Voice 2000 that`s pretty cool.. and I thank you for your support (whether you agree with me or not) But get this the most popular poll (the questions where you can vote) has only gotten 15 votes max. All you have to do is click a choice and then click vote ...couldn`t be much easier..even for the computer challenged( LOL) If you have an idea for a poll and would like to see what others think about a certain subject just let me know and I`ll set it up.

10.11.09 Well, i got my evaluation last night, and a very good one at that. To bad it`s pretty much the same one every other associate on the shift got. One guy (an asst. mgr.) did all the evals for the whole shift and for the most part said the same thing word for word on every one of them. Then somebody I`ve never worked for or met signed it as a witness (not my term). The only thing different was attendance yours was either good or bad (not that it mattered) other than that no difference. Went something like this: This is your annual evaluation its already been written (sept 3 09) so I`m just gonna read it, Blah, blah blah,blah, blah good stuff. Blah, bs, blah, blah, bs, learn to use the telxon more,blah blah learn to bin blah,blah blah learn new areas, show initiative,bs, bs, bs heres how much you get. Twice I burst out laughing, was this Ryans revenge? Here was the guy who certified me on the lifts telling me to show more initiative. I asked for the training and certification (not mandated no xtra money) Oh and I need to learn new areas.....I guess the dock and the other depts I`ve been pulled to don`t count One last thing I`ve got all the telxon (gemini) access I can get but I need to learn to do more with it.........well I`d like to suggest A NEW PLACE TO STORE IT!!!!!!. Now here I am being told to do the things I`ve been doing all long and getting penalized. By the way I`ve called out once the whole year. So I here all this and I`m shocked/ pissed/bewildered Maybe I shouldn`t try to be a decent employee no one seems to notice, it seems the screw-ups and ass kissers get noticed more. I got the same evaluation that people with writtens and D days got the same raise too......the same exact thing word for word ..penny for penny. Please tell me where the fairness is in that ..where the incentive is to want to do better to be that good employee to have some pride in your job (be it as it may).. there's not much love coming from the company..I mentioned all of this to the person reading my eval and was told there`s nothing that can be done now. Also I was told the person that signed my evaluation was a day shift asst mgr. (day shift I`ve never worked day shift) and she signed cause the person that wrote the eval was no longer working in the store ( That`s a crock of shit cause mine was written and signed on sept. 3rd it said so on the bottom and Ryan didn`t leave until 10.10.09 (5 weeks later) It makes you wonder why after hearing about the wonderful job everybody did during inventory and how low the shrink was that they would now want to screw so many people There`s no telling what criteria was used to write these evaluations but you can be sure observation and fairness wasn`t part of it. OR, Maybe they are done like this for a reason...maybe you give everybody the same thing let a few piss and moan about it and oh well...the company saved alot on payroll ..... maybe Ryan was told to do them like that (benefit of the doubt) I some how think this is just another walmart move to save money It`s disgusting

I forgot to mention I was told I should learn to bin...when I said I knew how I was told we changed how we do it Really?! I said whats to know scan the bin scan the item write the quanity.... binned. Oh no we changed the location....so I said don`t we bin on the dock any more yeah still on the dock just changed bin locations (I think I could find the bins if I had to) When I mentioned I had all the telxon access I was allowed he said can`t do much about that now. When I said I could do all the stuff he said I couldn`t I was told the only way to get a better evaluation and raise would be if I could jump into an asst mgr position.........Well guess what If all the job calls for is being an asshole, having no people skills being full of shit and oh yeah walking around with my thumb up my ass.......if he can do it so could I.

10.11.09 It`s evaluation time all thru the store, it seems that the maximum amount you can get is $.40 I haven`t gotten mine as of yet ( but people hired after me have ) but will get back to you as soon as I do. Sumtin tells me this is gonna get ugly.

10.06.09 Yo, As I`ve been telling you guys change is in the wind. The overnight managers are changing again at 3339. Martin is leaving for sure ( this should make everyone happy ) no more listening to his garbage and put downs and disrespect it seems he doesn`t like his own life and takes it out on everyone else, you have to feel sorry for the people in Rio Grande where he`ll be going. Becky is going to days with a promotion. Ryan is leaving the store...too bad he`s a good guy and worked as hard as anybody ( he just wasn`t in the clique )...but the Bridgeton store will be better with him....good luck. Now this is UNCONFIRMED......I`ve been told John will be going back to days,( the crowd roars ) But that doesn`t seem to make much sense since that`s where he had all the trouble to begin with and some of those women are still there. And, if they ship him out he`ll just terrorize more women else where. Just keep your fingers crossed. Rich is coming back to the grave shift,he`ll be joined by Ray,Sal, Bob and 2 others from outside of 3339 ( I`m hearing good things ) We will also be getting 2 co-mangers ( is this the most top heavy company ever, sure seems like it ) One of the co-managers is Madi ( she runs the clique ) and the other is a guy (Ron ) from turnersville ( i`ve met him but never worked with him ) nice guy. All in all seems like a good crew.....just gotta get rid of the douchebag John. It`s funny but none of this really matters as far as the job goes, it is what it is, sure they`ll try new things, move people around bust balls a little bit ,then see it doesn`t work and go back to the right way the grave shift at vineland is tight and gets the job plus plus done every night you can`t mess with a good thing although they`ll try.
About that clique ( thats click it`s french means tight little group ) It`s Madis` group it includes; Christin, Mildred,Becky and (DB) John not so much Jessica. They are so far up each other`s butts it`s scary, just wait you`ll see.
Now,I`ve heard Mark maybe leaving the store also, and going to Mayslanding. Don`t know if it`s true or not, but if it is ..you heard it here first

10.02.09 Hey, There has been alot of talk lately about the overnite mgrs. and how they treat people, the way they talk, the things they say etc. Don`t expect them to be your friend they are management they have a job to do and that is to move the most freight with the least amount of man hours and to cull the weak ( bad employees ) from the herd. It`s all about the freight ( and bonuses ) and not about you. You are a tool to move freight, tools break, get old ,get lost and get thrown out. Then tools get replaced with a newer version that usually costs less ( part time no benefits, change shift hours, work multiple areas ) and is more efficient. This doesn`t mean they can say or do to you any thing they like. The mgrs will push you and push you each day adding a little more freight and more work and the tools keep right on working and scrambling to get the job done hoping not to step out of line and get replaced. Now don`t get me wrong, I think only you are responsible for you. That means watch your call outs don`t take what isn`t yours no fighting etc. Don`t be afraid to come to work just don`t be stupid. The mgrs may act like they`re your friend or that you are cool, but it`s just to get the job done or to get information ( do one not the other ). Everything they do is calculated they could care less about you or yours. What the person in the next isle does is none of your business ( unless they include you ) so keep it to yourself. Your friends are the people who show up every night for work ready to do their job watch out for them help them if you can pick up their slack if they fall off ( but don`t carry slackers ) Watch out for each other pay attention to whats happening. If you see or hear something that management has done that you think is inappropriate or wrong report it don`t let anything slide they won`t cut you any breaks and neither should you for them. Eventually things will even out and they will be called to answer for their actions. Soon 2 of the overnight asst. mgrs will be leaving ( when the new management plan goes into affect ) what 2 no ones knows yet. In the mean time watch your neighbors back

10.02.10 An asst mgr on the overnight shift was heard telling the associates that he now wanted them to take a walk around the store before they leave to help move pallets back to the dock this on top of getting all their own cardboard, pallets, carts etc. back. and, zoning their aisle and helping their neighbor and grabbing a dust mop. Oh yeah and rounding up carts ( you`ll be hearing more about that at the next meeting co-mgr. was upset carts were all over lot on fri. morning ) Like I said they`ll keep piling it on as long as every body keeps saying yes `em.

Hey, Just a quick blurb....Today is the day the asst. mgrs. find out who`s staying and who's going. The store is top heavy by 7 assistant mgrs. but only 5 are leaving 2 from the overnight ( who do you think is going to stay ) and 3 others rumor has it Martin is going to Rio Grande. That will make alot of people happy maybe he`ll take John with him. I`ll keep you posted.

9.27.09 Saw the store manager for the first time in about 1.5 months on Saturday night. It`s funny cause an associate spent a 1/2 hour in his office that morning complaining about how him and his dept. co-workers are talked to and treated,and then the Mgr. shows up, later that night. Oh it was such a joyous occasion, he talked about the mayslanding store and how he goes there every day to help (that's way we haven`t seen him) funny but I`ve seen him rollin` in every morning just past 7 am he just doesn`t come to the grave shift. He told us how great the stores doing ..it`s #3 in the region ....3 in the region out of 500 plus stores ( yet the top amount of my share with the staffing levels as low as they can be was only $ 86.00 it just doesn`t add up) He told us how much the city, the mayor, the owner of wendys and every charity loves walmart and how other citys don`t want walmarts in their towns but vineland did. And then he told us to look out cause walmart is preparing to INVADE the northeast how they want supercenters on every corner he even told us that supercenters make up only 7% of the whole company ...but do 25% of all the business so look out. Oh it was such a wonderful time it put a tear in your eye. He even talked some smack about the eagles and the saints .I could swear I heard an Amen and praise the lord and everybody clapped and cheered ( the same fools that bitch and complain every night ). BUT you know what he never talked about, about the rotten way the over night asst. mgrs treat the staff.. I`m not talking about people getting fired for attendance or stealing or fighting they brought that on themselves, they should get fired. I`m talkin` about about how they act and the way they talk to people the things they say the intimidation and the spying. Not one word about any of that.

9.27.09 I want to briefly touch on something that I think is an absolutly rotten thing that has happened. And every associate in our store( 3339 ), not just the grave shift, (overnight) shoud be pissed about. For months the meat department guys had been working full time hours ( they are classified PT) but were told to work the hours by management. But they always asked to be made full time so they could get benefits etc When the new managers came on the shift the extra hours stopped not the work load so they asked for the hours back, no way they were told, we can`t help you. We can`t help you..nice So you know what management did they hired some new people ..they didn`t give more hours to the associates already here they hired new...and expect the guys to train the new people All so the company doesn`t have to pay for full time benefits WHY WEREN`T THESE NEW POSITIONS POSTED IN THE BACK ROOM FOR ALL TO SEE ....YOU FIGURE IT OUT !!!!!! This is the kind of stuff that should really get you fired up not some lame ass cheer

9.24.09 When I finally got my benefits I was pleased, pleased to know I could stop paying myself and still be covered. I choose a plan with a $500 health care credit. I figured I would get a book explaining what my benefits did and didn`t cover. Besides mammograms and gap smears. so I would be more able to use my credit. Well I never did get a book and when I asked for one in personell they said I would be receiving one in the mail. (and they had none). Well, don`t cha know I go get a flu shot (an ounce of prevention........) and give the clerk my misfits card and guess what, that`s right, the shots not covered. I paid the $24.99 out of pocket, no big deal I`ll just call the benefits people when I get home. 1.800.421.1362 and so I did. heres what they told me; The $500 credit is only for paying if you`re being treated in network for an illness not preventive medicine, but, had I gotten the shot by an in network provider it would have been covered 80%/20%(is that double talk) I asked to speak to a supervisor and she did the standard stuff apologized for the miscommunication etc.,etc. but nothing else. The first person said the shot was covered in network for the first time ever this year. The supervisor never heard of that. I asked her for a benefits book and anything that has any thing in writing about the flu shot. when I get it I`ll share it with you . You would think flu shots would be covered, since it would cut down on call-outs & sick time They even offer them in the store but don`t use your discount card or your benefits card they`re not accepted. In the mean time get your flu shot It`s a good thing to do just don`t count on your misfits to cover it. Sorry if I rambled but this has really twisted me up, If you haven`t gotten a benefits book contact you HR person or call the 800 number above and demand one. Whew i`m done

9.22.09 Could someone please tell me why anyone would transfer from Florida (walmart) to NJ (walmart) and vineland no less. We have 2 women (1 is an associate and 1 a CSS) at our store that did just that recently. Now this brings to mind a few questions. If the store is under a hiring freeze how could they transfer, and, if what I hear is true how can a supervisor date someone on their shift. ( they both work on the same shift) On a personal level I could care less but this isn`t personal it`s business and we all are suppose to follow the same rules, right... In business 101 the first rule is supervisors and managers don`t date the help. Now this brings to mind a different question/problem. The CSS is now attending walmart training to become a Zone Manager, which means her GF wiould then be under her immediate supervision. Oh by the way, in case you didn`t know the management structure in all walmarts is changing ..there is a new position being created Zone Manager ( ZM ) they will fall between the asst. mgrs. and supervisors ( the formula for determining how many of each kind each store will get is complicated but 3339 should be getting 5 ( ZM ) and loosing 2 asst.mgrs( overnite) and gaining 2 co-mgrs (overnite) confused you should be but back to the 2 transfers the ZM in training has got to be one of the rudest people I`ve ever met and an aaaattttitude there have been quite a few customer and associate complaints about her ( One of the other CSS told me) and she has been rude to me.so hows she getting the promotion ( funny but my CSS source told me that they figured she was having trouble fitting in I think she`s just pissed cause she left Florida ) At any rate here's 2 transfers during a hiring freeze breaking the rules and getting promoted.......Only @ walmart

9.21.09 Have you noticed any new faces around the store...they are not new hires .(for the most part) ..management just changed shifts around... now....for some the 2nd shift starts at 4pm and goes `til 1 am...by over lapping the 2 shifts like that.... they don`t have to hire as many overniters at a higher pay rate ( these people had their hours changed and they now work 3 hours on the over night shift but without the overnight shift differential) ($2.25 per hour) So how much work do you think they will really get done when they see the next shift coming in at a higher rate of pay doing the same exact job. On the good side of this is the fact that hiring less people means fewer accidents less claims.... lower hourly rate less payroll.. and more freight moved....add all that up and our My $hare should go thru the roof next quater LMAO

9.19.09 Hey, you won`t beleive this............ok,ok... you will......but it`s still pretty f***** up if it`s true. I`ve been told that the same sweatshirts that were sold to us fo $24.... sell in other stores (to associates) for $16 Thats an $8 dollar difference 8 bucks is alot of money... what did they do with it. Now like I said I only just heard so I`m going to do a little investigating and see what I come up with...... I wonder if money they rip from employees goes towards My $hare.

9.18.09 Everywhere I went in the store people were talkin about My $hare John got this Millie got that but I only got this....there doesn`t seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how much you got. The maximum I heard was $86 (thats what I got) and I heard as low as $20. now I`m sure that some where out there someone knows how my share works, they`re just not telling us. I would think it has something to do with full or part time, hours worked ,time with company, etc., etc., but you can`t ask an asst. mgr. cause they don`t know (and there is no one else to ask on my overnight shift) None of the explainations the assts. gave made any sense to me or anyone else I talked too. There is one guy I know about who has worked in the store since Nov. `08 has never missed any time (no call outs) and works full time he only got $40 and another one who has missed 7 days (by his count) is full time and got $63. like I said no ryhme or reason...I smell a meeting coming where we will hear some double talk gobblely gook reason and still not know Either that or they made a mistake and every body has to give the money back so it can be redistributed and you`ll get less. Just kiddin`............but

9.17.09 Wasup, I just got wind of this so, let me bring you up to speed. It seems that the new asst.mgr thinks he can do anything and say anything he wants.( he`s gonna find out his actions here have consequences just like on the street) Now I`m not positive,.... but I`m pretty sure,.... before you leave walmart mgrs. training they tell you to think before you speak. So any how here's the latest; as you know a certain associate has been taking crap since she started, 3am cart round up, clothes, produce with nary a peep. But recently she was denied a 15min. break by a new css (a new css from Florida who by the way is a miserable piece of so she`s gotten a few complaints about her attitude and management sticks up for her by saying she`s trying to fit in....fit in.... she`s doing the same job here, she did in a walmart in Florida... was she this rude to customers and associates there too). Anyways You still with me... when the associate finally realizes she IS intitled to 2 breaks during her 7 hour shift she fills out a time adjustment and asks this clown(asst mgr.) to sign it He does one better and tears the paper up !!! and tells her if you need the break that bad I`ll give you an extra one tomorrow. IF YOU KNOW OF THIS TYPE OF ABUSE GOING ON IN YOUR STORE REPORT IT!!! TO YOUR STORE MANAGER ,DISTRICT MANAGER AND THE HOME OFFICE ( and an ATTORNEY they will take a case like this for free believe me) THIS IS THE SAME CRAP THEY JUST PAID A $ 352 MILLION SETTLEMENT FOR......THEY CAN NOT MAKE YOU WORK THOUGH YOUR BREAK PERIOD.......PERIOD. Here`s an up date The associate went to a co-manager and told her of the problem (only 1 break and 1/2 hour lunch) the co-mgr got on the radio immediately and told the assistant that the associate was to get 2 15 min breaks and an hour lunch and he agreed...as soon as the co-manager left the store the asst. went to the associate and told her he could still give her a 1/2 hr. lunch if he choose too. All of this happened before the ripped up time adjustment incident. no doubt more to follow.

Hey ran into a co-worker in, of all places, Shop rite. Any who, we got to talking and he says did you hear about Becky.. I say I`ve heard alot lately, he says no about her writing the employee compliance codes (dress, health and safety etc.) I`m like huh you`re kidding he says I kid you not. So he proceeds to tell me about an incident that started in the deli and ended in the back of the house. It seems there was a problem with one of the guys in the deli not wearing a beard guard and not having all his hair under cover while he worked in the freezer. She told him he had to, and he went and did it. But, he said something like I`ll do it but you are wrong, I`m not around any food ,she said I`m not wrong and then stated`` I wrote the code`` She then made the guy go to the back of the house to see the code chart where she read to him everything HE HAD SAID. She couldn`t find what she said she wrote SHE WAS WRONG, and proceeded to argue and threaten.... the deli guy walked away. (if you didn`t all ready know ..becky is an asst. mgr.) OK, that's the story I heard. So... I went to work and asked around..to see if in fact this really happened....guess what.... not only did it happen but I got at least 6 people to verify it...seems she did this in front of people in the deli and the back of the house and was pretty belligerent to boot..... But I haven`t spoken to the guy it happened to yet..I`ll get his story and report back

We have an asst. mgr. that wears a pair of black mechanics` gloves when ever he works in the produce dept.......which is hours every night (he only spends more time in the office watching cameras) any who, he wears these gloves to handle freight, empty trash, use the pallet jack, talk on the phone, AND PUT UP FRUIT !!!!!! IT`s not like there aren`t disposable gloves every where you look. This is the same fool that coaches everybody about being compliant (this is where ass and 1st base come in).

I`ve wanted to write something nice about 3339 or walmart in general but ,the crap just keeps coming....so, ....I`ll keep searching. In the mean time, .If you work over 6 hours per shift you are intitled to 2, 15 min breaks and an hour lunch(per walmart handbook) It seems we have a new css that thinks the door greeter should only get a 1/2 hour lunch and 1 15 min break on a 7 hr. shift (more to follow). Then we have an associate given a written by 2 male mgrs(guess what kind of mgrs....thats right assistant managers unreal) behind closed doors no female supervisor in sight although 2 were in the store, and, one of them (asst mgrs) insulted her and gave her bad information. Are these people just that dumb? I`ll expand on all of this when I hear more...in the mean time ,eat a banana they look good.

9.15.09 Yo, Lets talk about ``D-day`` By the time you get a ``D-day`` you`ve screwed up pretty good. a ``D-day `` is when you`ve gone thru the disciplinary process and you`ve got one foot out the door..``D-day``= decision day. You get to go home early and you get the next day off with pay. You`re supposed to use this time to reflect and decide if you stll want to work at walmart, If so you`re suppose to write a letter (I`ve mentioned this before) I`ve been bad Please don`t can me,etc. If a tear drips on it even better. R U KID`N ME Someone is about to loose their job and they get to leave early and get a day off with pay AND SOMEONE WHO IS SICK AND CALLS OUT CAN`t USE THEIR SICK TIME,...TIME THEY HAVE EARNED...THEY HAVE TO CALL OUT 2 DAYS IN A ROW TO GET PAID FOR ONE (I`m so twisted right now it`s not funny) Is this the most ridiculous system you`ve ever heard of. Screw up get rewarded... get sick and get screwed!!!!!....With a million plus employees can you imagine how many ``D-days there are on any given work day.....Stop paying them and use the money for sick time.

Here`s one for the believe it or not section. Last night at store 3339, 4 people walked away from full shopping carts.....because the line was too long...that`s right the LINE......with 2 css and 2 cashiers and 2 asst. mgrs. on duty (well 1 cashier was open) people got feed up and split. Why didn`t anyone open another register or two. Any other time they`re calling all register trained associates to the front. Well I hear 1 cashier was doing returns. What`s every body elses` excuse. Point is, there is none, everyone dropped the ball. And get this one of the asst. mgrs. was in the front office 20 feet away.while all this went down.

Coaching ``D day`` and other issues
Have you ever been coached? I have, it was quite interesting, the asst mgr (coacher) was there, a witness (another asst mgr) and me (coachee). Just the three of us no one to represent me....no one to watch my back...they could have said I acted anyway or said anything and it would be my word against theirs`. Now don`t get me wrong I`m not pissed I got coached, the reason was really silly and it changed during the process. but I think the person being coached should be able to pick a peer... someone they trust to be present,...not to say anything just to witness the proceedings. Sort of like a shop stewart if you get my drift. Now I hear ``D`` day is even funkier.....check this out they call you to the office (again unrepresented) tell you you`re suspended for whatever you`ve done and send you home with pay!!!!!! They tell you to come back in 2 days with a letter stating why you want to stay at Walmart. Tell me, exactly how much groveling do you have to do? Please please please I`ve been a bad boy/girl, what, how much? Maybe later I`ll write a form letter that can be down loaded ...just to take the guess work out of it. I`m open to suggestions let me know what you think should be in the letter and also tell me about your coaching and ``D`` day experiences

CART ROUND-UP
Here`s a little tid-bit for ya;
As you all know cart round-up happens after your last 15 min.break on the overnight shift (does it happen on other shifts,nope it`s actually a job on 1st and 2nd shift) Any how,all associates are required to go outside and round-up all the carts that the rude uncaring customers leave all over the parking lot and bring them back to the store. But at our store we do things a little bit differently...We send the door greeter out there around 2-3 am who just happens to be a young woman.... all by her self..... into the lot to get the carts...the same lot that management has had to call the police about because too many people were hanging out , out there R U KIDN` ME........and she DREADS GOING OUT THERE. god forbid something should happen to her... no one would ever know..at least not for a while....just to keep the in-stock people on the floor. UNREAL.

You can tell alot about a person by the way they shake your hand. Does he/she have a firm grip, do they look you in the eye when shaking your hand, do they speak up when talking. Or, do they have a jello grip, look at the floor or into space, and mumble,and seem very disinterested in what you have to say. You can also gauge a persons character by the way they talk to you, do they always raise their voice,.. do they threaten( because I said, I won`t put up with, this is my shift.) do they give indirect answers or say I`ll find out and never get back to you, do they try to make you feel inferior. A Manager should never have to lie to try to make a point and never have to argue to get an upper hand, if you`re wrong you are wrong. If any of this sounds familiar,then chances are you`ve been dealing with a walmart asst. manager. In the 10 months that I`ve worked for walmart I`ve come accross 1 asst mgr that deserved any kind of respect...he got it because he gave it......SAN JUAN in turnersville nj the #1 store in our region (could that be part of the reason the store does so well) Maybe when walmart brain washes the asst mgrs. they should pay more attention to treating associates with respect instead of screwing them over or lying to them. I had an asst. manager out right LIE to me last night LIE to make a point about company policy, then when she realized she was wrong she started to argue( this same woman, when asked about vacation time gave the wrong answer and then argued and said whatever). She tried to pull me into a trap, had I argued back, I would Have been in trouble. I walked away. I walked away knowing I would never show this cow any respect ever again. Don`t ever LIE to me and think it`s ok because you are a supervisor.

Wow, talk about paranoid. Walmart is really worried about Unions and they want you to beleive that unions are horrible and do nothing for you but take your money ,but we all know that ,that just isn`t true.The movie we watched was lame and that vote they talked about in Congress is many months away. But when you screw people day in and day out they get pissed and look for help ,and that is why walmart is scared. There are pros and cons to belonging to a union just as there are for not being union.. Lets try to break it down. coaching and D day...now they are done by 2 mgrs and the associate, the mgrs could say anything about the way you acted orwhat you said and you wouldn`t have a leg to stand on. With the union you would have someone to watch your back (a witness to make sure things stayed fair). Every job would be classified you would do your job not 10 different ones., and you would get paid the highest rate possible. Lets say a maintanence person was sent to work in frozen, he/she would get the higher rate, or someone gets pulled to meats they would get the higher rate. or..how about hoiday pay..right now everyboby gets holiday pay like this....if you work your scheduled day before and after the holiday you get an extra day of pay. if you`re off on the holiday but work the day before and after you get an extra day.... if you work the holiday (you guessed it) an extra day of pay. doesn`t seem fair you work the holiday and get the same as the person thats off wheres the incentive to work holidays? If you were union you would get time and a half for workig the holiday. Right now theres no telling how promotions or transfers are done. with a union you wold negoiate this in your contract . What it all boils down to is this if you got hired to do job 1 they couldn`t mak you do job 2 unless they raised your pay scale each time. You would have a shop steward to act as a go between to get problems fixed if you got written up you could have a hearing, not like now all by your self. the list could go on. now the cons You would pay union dues. I can`t think of any others. Don`t beleive this crap about we care about you and unions don`t...the only reason Walmart does not want unions is MONEY...If a store was unionized they would have to pay you more per hour they would have to pay people the pay scale for where they worked. You would have REPRESENTATION. Your contract would be negotiated. The list goes on. Just don`t let management scare you, you have every right to talk to whom ever you want and sign or not sign anything you want....be informed ask questions know and care about whats going on at work

YOUR PAY GRADE
Ok, Lets say you`re a door greeter or a cashier, 2 of the lower paying jobs at walmart. At our store when the(overnight) door greeter isn`t chasing shopping carts they got her putting up fruit or pricing clothes or ``in charge of the bargin rack``or ringing a dummy registar(for some reason a registar is rung to fool the big bosses ) all thru the night. All of these jobs pay more yet she gets no more money. Or..How about the instock person that worked in the bakery..then in the produce dept. for 8 months without a pay increase or back pay. both of those jobs pay much more. A little aside; all of the fresh food depts.(deli, produce,meats, seafood) pay a few bucks more an hour compared to other positions. This, is typical walmart.... work part timers full time hours for months on end ..then cut them back before they are eligible for benefits (they pulled this crap on the overnite meat guys)... use lower paid associates in higher pay positions on all shifts everyday and save a ton in payroll. I think this problem will wind up being the next subject for a big class action lawsuit wait and see.

That got your attention...It seems Walmart is going green, beginning Sept.14th all across this great nation of ours Walmart is going to stop using paper pay checks and start using plastic. Here`s the scoop; in a strictly money saving move (dont let them tell you it`s to save trees or make less pollution etc. it`s a money move) Walmart is going to issue a debit card (or a pack of checks that will waste more paper then the pay checks) to each and everyone of it`s associates, (unless you all ready have direct deposit) each pay day it will load your pay on the card (they say if there is ever a natural disaster on pay day you`ll be glad you`ve got the card) and you`ll be able to get your money right away, You can go to any Walmart or Sams club and get money with your card, great. No more 2 part checks no more stubs it`s now all electronic. no more looking at your stub to make sure your pays right, now you have to go on line. Perfect.....Great, Perfect....Unless....unless your off on pay day and don`t live near a sams or walmart and you don`t drive and need money Now you`ll have to go to an ATM and pay a fee to get paid nice huh, well... it`s either direct deposit or this.. no middle ground.....Did the home office idiots ever take into consideration that maybe some people can`t direct deposit or drive ..and live pay check to pay check..it sure doesn`t seem like it......especially since there are so many more ways for the company to go green and save money at the same time (but thats a topic for another time.).

I have direct deposit and a debit card now...But not everyone does, for some reason or another and it will cause a hardship for them. DON`T BE A WEASEL revised
There are some things that just don`t seem right. Here`s one that truly bothers me. regular associates so far up managements ass the only thing that keeps them from getting lost is the walkie talkie in their pocket.......We have an associate that makes little announcements, breaks ,lunch, end of night. on the intercom and carries a radio that he uses to spy (for lack of a better word) on other associates. Why would someone do that, extra money (he gets none) fast track to a promotion (hasn`t helped anyone else on his shift....think matt man.) Maybe he justs likes the smell of arse.(being polite) He needs to realize everyone can hear those things (and what he says) and it ain`t cool. I have to believe even asst. mgrs. don`t like weasels.

Last night after/during our cheer, one of the associates wasn`t participating and a relatively new (fresh outta walmart U) asst mgr. says something along the lines of it`s walmart culture get used to it. I`m not sure what the associates response was, but, the next thing I hear is the asst mgr telling this guy If you don`t like it to go, get out, dont` let the door hit you in the ass. Now I`m no expert but, that does not seem like the right way to talk to an associate. I heard it and I told him I would back him 100% should he get any shit. I do think in all honesty that if you`re at the meeting you join in, it`s expected of you, it`s walmart culture. If you don`t want to cheer clap etc. don`t sit up front.

Not mentioning a store number, but I will say am in Colorado. I know that the benefits package has changed. You would think that a company that makes billions every year could afford to get better health care for its workers. But alas, they have changed and the increase in what I would have to pay has doubled. I was paying $14.-- every paycheck and now the lowest available payment is $27.-- for an individual and the deductible has also gone up. We have until November 14th to choose if we want to continue the coverage and select a plan. I work full time and if I choose to be covered by Wal-Marts insurance, my entire pay raise that I got (.40) will all go to health insurance. What would Sam say I wonder, if he were still alive.
Now I've read all the comments and have to say I LOVE THIS PAGE!! Bonuses are based on how long you've worked for the company 1 year+ is max and how many hours you average each quarter. The inventory was so great, because they "pushed" the numbers, December's bonus will be awesome, but look out after that. What I see in this store is the ass kissers get it all. I know one guy just got promoted to ZM, he is the laziest guy i've ever seen, hides in the ailes text messanging, has blantantly broken walmart policies, was reported, never got coached, but the reporters suddenly got coached. They have lost some super workers in transfers, because they couldn't take it, some have gone elsewhere for the same reasons...it's so sad. Mark is a good guy, but has no backbone and lets those under him do as they please and in fact overrule him. He depends on the co's and asst's to do what is right, now that's a scary thought. The assistants for the most part do work hard, they have to we are so understaffed, but I notice there are a few who spend most of their time in the ad office..hmmmm. If you kiss ass you're in, if not they will find a way to make your life miserable. At one time, unions were a great thing, now they have lost strength and really you'll pay dues and get nothing. Their process is much the same, about 3 write-ups and you're done. George is a fair guy and can probably help as good as any union rep. There really are no solutions, it's all about get it in and get it out. I've been blessed to have had some wonderful asst's and supervisors (not at 3339), so it's not walmart, it's the people that are there and not being made accountable. No leadership or respect and it starts from the top down. Trust no one, talk to no one, come in do your 8 and leave, smile, be pleasant and let it go, it will never change until the management changes. The new regime isn't much better. Policy is broken on a regular basis and I mean by management, but again, that's ok. Nothing changes if nothing changes and you are right, Sam Walton is rolling in his grave, this was never his intent. I keep anonymous, there is retribution, I for one am not giving them the satisfaction.

well... as far as walmart goes i deff. hate goin in every nite. i hate when i have to go to work when 2 certain managers are there alone. but i dont keep my mouth shut the other two know i have a problem with these two. and soon so will my "store" manager. i dont like going there to be around people that cant seem to get over the fact that we all work at walmart and none of us are better then the next, all they seem to do is run around with there mouths open. sad thing is the ones that run there mouths about everyone else r the ones with the biggest problems... and are atleast 35!! or older of course....I'm in my 20's and it feels like im in high school again..jeez. I`m at 3339 the bosses are out of control they show no respect to no one. They treat us really bad like children. I like this site its real the way things are. I wouldn`t work for walmart if they paid good!!!! And, I don`t shop there either. Everything is made in china or overseas and of inferior quality. Christ even the seafood all of which is frozen comes from thailand. Manufacturers make a different product (in some cases) just for walmart,so they can offer price match and never have to pay. for an example look at the serial number on a Sony TV at walmart, now look at one from Best Buy,same size same features same everything but the serial number ...no price match. Walmart is ruining American business and American labor/jobs Cheap products sub standard wages/work conditions hugh profits.

Hey Huck I have a correction on the assistant manager not working with the gloves...he no longer works unless it is 5:30 and dayshift people are coming in but as far as I can tell he has ditched the black gloves. This was witnessed by myself and another co-worker and it was quite funny 2 days in a row!
Lee Stacey, a storemanager, was not terminated in after having an affair with a lady in bakery(in the same store). She was instead transferred to a store in another town. The storemanager in this store was asked to resign for the same reason. However his sexual orientation was different. Employees at this store have discussed several times of how explicit she is of her sex life and parts of her girlfriend's body while on the clock. After a few years, she was asked to move to another store. She told the district manager that she would not move without certain assistant managers. When one refused to move, he was threatened by the district manager that if he did not move, he would never move up into the company. Gas was at four dollars a gallon, and costed him more to live. One of the assistants was given co-manager who really was not qualified for the job. Two of those assistants were moved to another store. However, the assistant that his job was threatened is still in this store. He was eventually promoted to co-manager. The "GAY" storemanager is "FLIRTING" with him, yet she refused to give him his vacations that he is entitled to. Within a year, he was entitled to three vacations. She refused all the dates in which he asked for his last vacation and two other days of the second vacation. She refuses to let him go. This destroyed his marriage. If the district manager cannot fire her, then someone else should!!!
I would like to post something good for a change...I think that most of the employees on the overnight shift at my store do an excellent job and get the job done and work together to help each other out whether management tells them to or not. I would also like to say that Assistant Manager Ray is an excellent example of a working manager and makes you feel as if he asks you to do something it is also something he would himself do. He continually works side by side with the employees and treats you as an equal if you are a hard worker. This is a HUGE thumbs up in my book and makes employees feel better about the work they do.
So to follow up on Huck's comment about the meeting I totally agree, the way management spoke to this gentleman was really uncalled for. This particular gentleman is a hard worker who does not call out regularly nor does he ever complain about his work load. He comes in does his job and does not deserve to be treated that way by anyone at walmart let alone management. Also why exactly is it that certain people are constantly calling out and nothing is happening to them and others are being D-dayed or fired? I know of a few employees who have been calling out on a regular basis and nothing is happening, believe me when I tell you we would all know because stuff like that travels fast. I just don't understand talk to someone like they are a piece of s**t when they don't do the cheer but don't take action when people call out all the time. Hmmm just don't understand it...Poor Sam Walton is turning over in his grave at the state his company is in now!
Okay so tell me why is it that they are firing people left and right and having the rest of the associates work twice as hard to get the work done, as if we didn't already do this to make up for the slackers in the first place, but our my share bonus is a measley $100 and some change? What happens to all the money our "monster" of a store is making because it doesn't look to me like any of the freight is getting lighter nor is there anyone being hired to take the place of the people they are firing. I think everyone needs to slow down at work and give them what they are paying us for which is minimal at best.
Back to the associates without proper training...are these people actually making what they are worth in these departments? Is there a pay differential for frozen, dairy, meat and produce? I know for sure there is one for produce I will have to research to see if there is one for the other departments and post at a later date.
Hey how about the employees that are in departments and were never even trained for these departments. I mean trained as in they have had no store training nor have they had vital CBL's on the particulars of their job. For example all of the frozen, meat, produce and dairy associates are listed as instock not their certain departments, so this means that they never took any of the CBL's referring to the cold chain and temperature needs of the product they are dealing with. This is why freight is left out on the floor all night to thaw (frozen), get warm (dairy & meat), or wilt and be warm and then pushed into a cooler to be cooled again and grow mold (produce). I personally don't buy any of these items in my store. I just wonder if other stores were like this as well or if the Vineland store is exclusive in this practice.

I also work at store 3339 and it definitely does not look good nor feel fine to be there! The people who I work with are some of the most immature, irresponsible, ghetto people, and this is just the management! The employees are not to be believed when they say they are you friends I am totally serious trust no one and I mean no one with any scrap of information because it is around the store in less time than it takes to type this little blurb. Example one person asks another person to do a video, no not a G rated one either, this person agrees and the first person tells 2 other people who in turn tell more people and before you know it BOOM the whole store knows!!! I mean honestly this is the most talked about topic for days on end and people eat it up! I feel as if Walmart on a whole is full of home-wrecking, gossip starting people with no lives outside of the store so they create one inside based on other peoples lives. I also feel as if our management should be coached and D-dayed the same as employees are because if I were to sexually harrass as many women as one assistant manager I know for sure they would not take it so lightly. Is it possibly because of this persons years with the company? Maybe it is the color of his skin? Maybe he has a law degree we don't know about and chooses to work at Walmart because it is more fun than an office and that suit can be worn anywhere because when you have your hands in your pockets you surely won't dirty your suit! Think the management from the store manager on down needs to be replaced or at the very least reminded on what exactly their duties and responsibilities are to us as employees and Walmart as a company.

OUTRAGEOUS!!! NO ONE SHOULD BE MADE TO GO OUT IN A PARKING LOT ALONE FOR ANY REASON, LEAST OF ALL TO COLLECT SHOPPING CARTS AND THEY ARE MAKING A YOUNG WOMAN DO THIS TASK. MALE OR FEMALE THIS SHOULD BE A 2 PERSON JOB. I PRAY FOR THIS WOMAN'S SAFETY AND HOPE THIS SITUATION CHANGES IMMEDIATELY. SOUNDS LIKE A POTENTIAL LAWSUIT. SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE!
