If you have ever been to Walt Disney World then you are aware that there is a confusing range of ticket options available. Because most visitors who do not live in or near Orlando normally buy their tickets in advance, they are not getting the best deal on a ticket. That is because it is not in the best interest of the tour operators, or Disney World to tell you about the best way to save money. In addition to a lot of very useful information from top to bottom; this webpage hubpage has a link to many free Disney downloads. The download link will yield you coupons, free days, freebies and many more neat Disney things.

That is what this article is for. To give you the information you need to tailor your ticket to what your needs are.

Park Hopper Tickets- Most tour agents will tell you the best deal is the park hopper ticket. For an adult for just one day the agent will tell you that in 2008 that ticket cost $116. The stated benefit of the park hopper is that you can go between the various theme parks inside Walt Disney World all on the same day.

If you live in the Orlando area, you don't need to do that because you can come back easily another day. If you are coming from outside of Orlando or from another state or country you most certainly will plan to stay more than one day. Please tell your friends about this great Disney information page and the free download link to many great Disney downloads.

Let me tell you something. It takes almost one hour to stand in line and transfer from one park to another. You are wasting time to switch between parks in the same day. And guess what? If you drop the Park Hopper option the ticket costs an adult $71 instead of $ 116. That is a $45 savings for one day. There is so much to do in each of the parks inside Walt Disney World you can easily spend at least one full day in each of the theme parks. So given that information why would you throw away fun time with your family in the theme park just to be able to transfer between parks. You lose a total of 2 hours of your day of fun just making the transfer back and forth on time.

Yes Walt Disney World is that big. In fact it is GINORMUS. So save your money and just ask for the Magic Your Way BASE TICKET. You will get similar savings on childrens tickets as well. So for a family of four you can save $180 per day and that is not a small amount of savings per day.

When you deal with a travel agent insist that they fully explain the MAGIC YOUR WAY ticket program. If they do not then call Walt Disney World yourself to check on the latest prices under that ticket program.

There are other options too and I recap those for your here in this step by step guide to determining what type of ticket you really need.

Step 1 - Pick your the number of days you want to stay. The base ticket gives you admission to one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks each day of your ticket validity. The base ticket can be purchased for from 1 to 7 days. There is a slight discount for each additional day after the first day.

Step 2 - CAREFULLY - Pick your options. This is where you can save the big money. You don't need to go back and forth in one day between theme parks as it wastes time. But here are the options for your review.

Park Hopper Option - This adds the so called flexibility to come and go thorugh all four theme parks in one day. From my experience this summer, if you tried to do that you would spend 5 hours either waiting for the right bus or riding on buses between theme parks. In 2008 the Park Hopper option cost $45 per person regardless if they are an adult or child.

Water Park Fun and More - This option cost another $50 per person and adds visits to the two water parks on the same days you are supposed to be hopping on the buses between the theme parks. Forget it - its better to plan separate trips or days to the water parks and buy tickets for them alone.

No Expiration Option - This option guarantees that any unused portion of tyour ticket can be used on a future visit. That is of course if you don't lose the tickets between now and the next time you come back to visit. This option costs variying amounts but for a 2 day ticket it costs $15. If you use your ticket even for 5 minutes on one day that day is counted as used so this option is not a good idea for most visitors who normally have their trip and transport all planned out.

I hope you enjoy your time at Walt Disney World. It is indeed a wonderful and magical place. If you want more inside information on ways to have a great time at Walt Disney World try some of these links.

If you have a meal plan with a Disney resort all you need to do is to book your meals for that day at the park you will visit that day. The savings for person will pay for all your meals that day and then some. If you book ahead enough you will have no problem getting meal bookings for the most desired restaurants. In my opinon needed to pay $45 a person just so you can go to a different theme park than the one you have been in all day is a crazy waste of time and money. If throwing $45 a day per person away is not big deal to you - no problem.
