Want to be Redundant?

Do you want to be redundant?

I will take a wild guess that most people will be shaking their heads reading this and saying "Urmmm of course not!".

Sadly, the fact remains that if you work for someone else in a job system that redundancy is a fact of life and does happen to some people. I think in 2009 we all know someone or know of someone that has lost their job. Can you control it? The sad fact is... that you can't control your employers. When you work in a job system, redundancy will always be a scary factor for alot of people.

There are so many people that have lost their jobs in 2009 its upsetting to watch. I really feel for those people. They have literally lost everything. In a country as wealthy as ours, there are people that are even relying on charity help to feed their families. People losing their homes, and having their homes repossessed. New families, with babies and small children. That must be so difficult, and stressful!

What can you do about it? Well apart from trying to build other incomes, and saving your spare cash. Not alot. But you can insure yourselves against it. There is such a thing called Accident Sickness and Unemployment Insurance. Also referred to as ASU, or Unemployment Insurance.

What it means is, that you get covered for typically a year for all of your bills such as mortgage e.t.c if you ever lost your job. What a security blanket! Now more then ever, I would think that people recognise how powerful and important this is.

Can you imagine, if the worst happened at your job? Your boss calls 20 of you into a conference room. You are all sat down, while your boss says he is saddened to announce you are all losing your jobs. The person next to you says as you leave the room " Well its not all bad. I got ASU insurance, so I have a year to find a job.". You say " Oh right... I never heard of that before. I have a mortgage and now, I have no idea how I will be able to pay for it.".

Avoid that scenario. Look into it. Before you think "Yeah, but surely that will cost a fortune". It depends on the cover you need, as to how much it will cost. So why not get a free no obligation quote? At least that way you will know how much it will cost you to have the policy. And ... you have an idea of the cost of not having it.
