Want to quit smoking?Here's how
51Here's how to quit smoking for good
Some things are easy to quit but smoking is not one of them unless you use this anti-addiction cocktail that combines traditional methods with non-traditional methods.
The goal: To control cravings stop the addiction and provide the motivation
The plan: Walk 30 minutes a day and ring a friend to say you've finished. This helps establish discipline and instill confidence. On day 30, start taking smoking cessation drugs prescribed by your doctor that control cravings. On day 35, toss your cigarettes - if you are really struggling slap on a nicotine patch too. The first few days will be the toughest but if you can make it past the day ten, you are on the downhill side of the addiction mountain. Keep walking and calling your friend, and some weight training to control weight gain. A 90% success rate has been seen with this plan (cold turkey works less than five percent of the time)
