Want to regain Memory Lost? Part 2
76Memory lost? Want to regain it?
Generally no one is ready to accept memory lost at any time. There are diseases which are affecting memory and people are aware about such things. At the same time there are hope to regain it, but not easy to believe by so many people; because it is related with brain and its portion of memory related neurons.
We have discussed with few practical breathing exercise in my previous article http://hubpages.com/hub/Want-to-regain-Memory-Lost, I would like to share few more exercise regarding regaining the lost memory.
Please also note that I am putting these things here for people who have certain occurrences about lost memory regarding names, telephone numbers, places, roads, etc. in general term. At the same time I would like to mention few examples here to indicate that some time this exercise/s helps to regains other qualities of our memory considering sharpness and detailing as well as grasping too!
Let us go through once again the 10 steps unit given in previous article:
Step 1: Just sit quietly, close your eyes and gather yourself. Then see your breathing rhythm:
Step 2: You need to count inhaling and then exhaling time. Suppose both have the figure of 6. Then practice with counting 6 this way:
Step 3: Put your right thumb on your right nostril to close it and then breathe with your left nostril counting 6.
Step 4: Now put your third finger of the right hand to close the left nostril also and don’t exhale. Then count 6 again.
When the person closes both the nostril first time after inhaling, s/he must also send this message: The fresh air is reaching to my memory section to recharge it for ever
Step 5: Remove you thumb to exhale from your right nostril with counting 6.
Step 6: Again close the right nostril so inhaling will not follow naturally and count 6.
This time also the person should send this message to her/his consciousness: My memory section of the brain is absorbing the recharging completely for the betterment of memory.
Step 7: Now repeat entire this process by removing thumb and inhale from right nostril counting 6.
Step 8: Close again both nostril and count 6 with sending message mentioned in step 4.
Step 9: Release breathe from left nostril now with counting 6.
Step 10: Close both the nostril and count 6 with sending message mentioned in step 6.
Now make little changes in counting measurement will lead further exercise, but to follow that the real practice and its three week process is needed. We know that while counting one unit with 6>12>6>12>6>12>6 we have to go for at least 10 units and gradually we can increase up to our time slot and regularity.
Now if you have 8>16>8>16>8>16>8 as one unit increasing two more counts for two weeks and then 10>20>10>20>10>20>10 for two weeks, would you able to do and follow? If so then you can reach up to 12>24>12>24>12>24>12. It means you will have one unit in 2 minutes, so you will need at least 20 minutes for ten units.
What happens when you passed through the whole process of one unit? Here is little explanation to get in to:
While holding breathe, the nerves are put under stress with the pressure of Fresh Air and when releasing breathe one stops to inhale as a part of the unit ongoing; s/he is releasing the stress over nerves by absorbing the Fresh Air! This process helps the neurons to become active profoundly and it helps to regain the memory!
Well, now let us go for one more exercise which is called ‘Shirshasan’ in Sanskrit language. This is one exercise helps our overall skull and nerves of heads and brain as well as filled every corner of head with fresh blood flow.
Shirshasan means straight holding of your body on your head. Shirsh means head and Aasan means well postured exercise. Here is the process of this exercise:
1. Take a mat and put against a straight wall. If mat is thin then fold it properly so you can put your head over and while lift you up your head will have the weight of the body, so make the mat folding comfortable as your need.
2. Now interlocked your hands with the fingers and put the hands against the wall and sit on your knee. Then put your head in the hollow created by palms of both interlocked hands.
3. Lift your body up on legs and head slowly and be comfortable with that position.
4. Take a deep breathe and start to lift right leg up towards the wall. At one moment left leg will also automatically come up to be with the right leg.
5. bAfter making both the legs straight parallel to the wall and exhale breathe slowly.
6. Feel easy your overall body on head, straight and comfortable for few moments. At least keep yourself 15 seconds in this position you can get back with right leg down first and then left leg following it.
7. Sit straight on your knee with inhaling deeply and slowly.
8. You can gradually increase your time adding 15 seconds after feeling comfortable and normal in this position but take a gap of three to four days when increasing the time.
9.Please note that you can do this position up to three minutes maximum.
Caution: Those who have high blood pressure, anxiety, sinusitis and nose, ear and eye hemorrhage patients should not follow this exercise.
There are other benefits also, like, stop increasing eye sight numbers, clears nostrils, Strengthen pituitary and pineal glands. These things increased self confidence, which will fasten the regaining memory lost!

I struggle with insomnia... I do sleep, but it takes me about 2 to 3 hours to fall asleep,; if you ever write a hub about dealing with insomnia, I will read it.
ViolateSun,
Thanks for reading the Part 2 and commenting on it! You are right considering preventive measurement!
Insomnia has mixed reasons. Some time highly individual, some time highly social. And there may be other reasons in between. But I am sure there are remedies and I would surely like to write about.
If you are in Reiki Healing then you can treat it by balancing the chakra systm: One hand on thid eye and other from root to throat, one by one; 3 minutes on each chakra... 'balancing with third eye' would be the intention!
Just try it out!

These are rememdies as I mentioned this in this hub that 'Please also note that I am putting these things here for people who have certain occurrences about lost memory regarding names, telephone numbers, places, roads, etc. in general term.' So please consider these things when you are doing this exercises for betterment! And as I mentioned that one should keep patience about time and doing these exercises, because it is working with deep of our body cells and neurons and nerves! At the same time this kind of process also acts as per individual cases and condition of the case!
I hope that you will satisfy with my reply and keep your patience and will go ahead for your own betterment!

Hello Cindy,
You just sit quietly and start deep abdominal breathing slowly and steadily... Please watch that you are as slow as you could be and ask for inner peace.
Then after reaching your slow rytham breathing you can feel peace from within. When you got it then hold it with you and ask the peace to provide you good sleep!
I think you will have that!

Healwell: Breaking the exercises in two hubs/installments makes it easier to follow for those of us who are Yoga novices. In essence breathing correctly adds prana to our physical body. Even if one does not have memory problems, prevention is a good approach.
Thanks for a good and informative hub!
