IN INDIA    there is a saying  that  one  who  robs  on a  new moon day  will  get a   wart.it is absolute rubbish.  there is  no truth  attributed to this.

in general the adage  is  because    personal  hygiene and  values and morals  are to be  insisted.

 warts  are  not  contagious  contrary  to  belief

  warts  are  viral  and  are  caused  by  human papilloma  virus.

 is  hpv  affects  skin  then it results in skin  warts. 

if  it  affectes the genitalia then it results in genital warts

 same  way there are plantar warts

 if these  hpv  are  severe in  intensity then it may result in carcinogeic  form    commonly  in  cervix  anal and genital  sreas  resulting in  cancer

 generally  application  of podophylline.

            application  of salicylic acid  

 is  adopted.  though  they may sometimes  come in handy but  ultimately  the  best  option  is   laser  excision.

this is also called   

• lasabrasion,
• laser peel
• laser vaporization.

which is a precision surgery leading to hypopigmentation.

alternatively the warts can also be dealt with by liquid nitorgen application.

because they are viral they tend to recur.

• depends on personal hygiene only.
• avoid reusing clothes & innergarments
• viral infections
