WashyDirect...Brett Wash Uncovered
71Who is Brett Wash?
Brett Wash's desire to leave his corporate position in a large international bank is an understandable one given the long hours he was working, leaving him little time with his family. First of all he tried his hand at property development which just ate up even more of his family time. He settled on buying properties to let, but he is such a people person, he felt like something was missing.
Brett is a natural entrepreneur, at the tender age of 12 he discovered the power of leverage! He discovered that he could charge his father's business colleagues £5 for car wash and valet and employ other kids to do it for £2! So with his corporate background and his intrinsic flair for business, he began searching for something that would more than replace his income but give him the leverage to create family time. So like any smart entrepreneur, he kept half an eye open for any opportunities that would give that time and money freedom. By chance, he came across a website about internet marketing and he immediately recognised that he had missed a trick. He has certainly made up for wasted time now!

Brett is a straight down the line kind of guy, what you see is what you get. Honest to a T, he treats people the way he would want to be treated himself. He is really down to earth, and despite his high flying success, is really gifted at working with people from all walks of life. Making money online came as second nature to Brett, but that is not what he is really passionate about. What he really loves using his people skills to empower others to be successful too.
He is straight to the point when he is training, which is great in the internet marketing field where information overload is such an occupational hazard. Nothing gives him more professional satisfaction than hearing a success story from one of his team members.
Key to his success in such a competitive field is being able to attract people to his team. He knows that hard selling is not the way to do this, rather that it is vitally important to be real and honest and build real relationships with people.
When I asked him about his secrets he said: “There is no trick to it, you just have to be yourself. If you are a decent person and show people that you will actually do for them what you say, then you wont go wrong.”
A very refreshing approach in the internet marketing world!
5 Things That Make Him Successful
I asked him to name the 5 things that have contributed most to his success and here's what he says:
His wife, 3 children and 2 grandparents....I know that's 6, but he couldn't leave one out! His family give him a driving desire to make a better way of life. He thinks that he would never be so motivated otherwise.
However, the reason that what he does is so successful is because of who he is and where he came from. You see, Brett has been through some tough times. He left home at 16 and has not always had things easy. He learned that keeping positive at ALL times is crucial to his success. His philosophy is that there is always someone worse off and he chooses to look for the good in everything. He is thankful everyday for all of the good things in his life. He knows that there will always be challenges and when he first left his job he had some really difficult times. He recalls one business that nearly finished him off. Some would have said that the sensible thing would have been to go back into the corporate world, but he knew he had to be true to himself and he kept trying until he found a solution. He is thankful on a daily basis that he did and he has now created the life that he wanted. The most important thing to him is his happy family life and everything else is a bonus.
Advice to Newbies
I also asked him what advice he would give to Newbies...he joked that you should call him! Ever the entrepreneur!
On a serious note, he advised that you should do research and stop thinking of all the reasons it won't work or you should put it off. Just get on with it, better to try and fail than not try at all. I have read that most really successful entrepreneurs have many more failed businesses than successful ones. Don't be afraid of making mistakes as this is how you learn.
He also advises: “I've made loads but I just kept going until I got it right. Keep away from negative influences also. Keep thinking about what you want to achieve and don't stop until you have!
