Eastbound and Down is a new HBO comedy created by Will Ferrel and Danny McBride, who in case you don't know who he is had a role in Pineapple Express.

In Eastbound and Down, McBride plays Kenny Powers, a failed professional baseball player who moves back to his hometown after he gets kicked out of the major leagues. He takes a job as a substitute teacher at his alma mater high school and quickly becomes the physical education teacher.

One of the other teachers is his high school girlfriend, April. Kenny wants to get back together with her, but has to first do something about her fiance, the school's principal. Kenny Powers, in the words of Danny McBride, is probably the worst person who ever existed. He's an arrogant, cruel person, with few redemptive qualities--but somehow you still end up liking him and rooting for him. It will be interesting to see how Eastbound and Down will evolve as the season moves forward.

Eastbound and Down is a very crude, irreverent show that is definitely for an adult audience. That being said, it is an absolutely hilarious show. As soon as there is somewhere to watch Eastbound and Down online, you will be the first to know.

Will Ferrel, who is one of the producers on the show, plays the role of Ashley Schaeffer, a blonde BMW salesman. Needless to say, this is a hilarious role and some of the best on-screen banter comes from the interactions between Kenny Powers and Ashley Schaeffer.
