Watch Out For Web Hosting Scams

Every needs a website. Every website needs a host.

It's unbelievable the kinds of crap I've found when looking for good web hosts. Most of them sucker you in with promises of usability and customer service, and at the end, you find you out that you've gotta pay for 3 years to get a decent rate and that they're customer service knows bean from bologny.

The biggest problem I had when I first started with one of the web hosts I won't mention in this paragraph, but that you can find a review of in the link below, was trying to install my theater website, which wasn't working. I found out that they had a 24 hour customer service line. Great! Or so I thought....I called their customer service number FOUR different times, and nobody could help me. That's right, I said FOUR times, not once or twice. I think it's kind of ridiculous that these people who are supposed to be profesional and knowledgeable are neither!

Seriously, how easy is it to say, "yea, I know the answer to your problem," or "no, I don't know what's going on, but I can find someone who would?"

C'mon now. A company like godaddy who spends 3 million bucks on a 30 second super bowl commercial can't come up with a few bucks to pay for people who know what they're doing? I think these days people care much more about the quick buck, rather than retaining lifelong customers.
