Anyone who knows me also knows that I love watching a good baseball game!

Don't get me wrong... I don't sit around on weekends watching every game that comes on TV, but when I have the opportunity to catch a good game, I'll be there in front of the TV, taking it all in and cheering on my favorite team.

When World Series time rolls around, I try my absolute hardest not to miss a single game. I've done this for as long as I can remember. Even when I was a kid at home I would glue myself to the TV every night and watch the World Series games till the wee hours of the morning, and then drag myself out of bed the next morning to go to school.

Well, now it's a little different. Now I stay up till the wee hours of the morning to watch the World Series games and then drag myself out of bed the next morning to go to work.

A couple years back I had a sudden schedule change at work that really caused me some serious grief and let me tell you... I was freaking out! For reasons beyond my control, I was moved to work the evening hours for a short time (two or three weeks), but you'll never guess what time of year it was. Yup... World Series time!

I couldn't believe it and was doing circles in my head, trying to figure out who I was gonna get out of this predicament, so I wouldn't have to miss the World Series for the first time in my life. I came up with some pretty creative stories to give my boss to try to get out of the mandatory changes :o)

Ultimately, though, I realized that there wasn't really anything I could do about it and was prepared to begin begging my friends to record the games for me, so I could watch them the next day. The bummer about this, though, is that I would probably already know the outcome of the games before I even watched. Talk about taking the wind out my sails...

So I had made the shift change at work and we were only a few days from the start of the World Series when I was telling one of my work friends about my dilemma, and having to miss the series for the first time in my life. As I explained the whole thing to him, he got a big grin on his face and actually giggled a couple of times as I talked to him. I was beginning to wonder what the heck was wrong with him, when he chuckled for about the 4th time! Geesh... what did you have to drink on your lunch break, anyway?

When I finished talking, he got all excited and told me about how the same thing had happened to him last year. He was going to have to miss games 3 and 4 of the world series. But the great part is that he searched the internet and found a solution to the problem, and didn't miss a single second of any of the games, including games 3 and 4.

It turns out that he had found a piece of software that he was able to download and install on his computer that allowed him to watch the World Series online, right on his computer, even at work! OK.. so maybe he shouldn't have been watching a ball game at work, but he managed to get his work done and watch the games at the same time!

This was exactly what I needed. I mean, how awesome would it be to be able to watch the world series online and not miss a single pitch or diving catch?

He told me that the software was easy to download and install and was available 24/7 with a few simple mouse clicks. Best of all, it was as easy to use as watching a regular TV, so even someone who's not all that tech savvy could make it work.

Needless to say, I went immediately and grabbed this awesome software and I never missed a single second of the world series. I owed my friend big time. Oh, and he never let me forget that either.
