Ways To Get Pregnant
If you are looking for ways to get pregnant, you are probably either just starting out or have been struggling for some time trying to get pregnant. Many people think that the way to get pregnant is to just have a lot of sex, and it shouldn't take all that long. The truth is, there are only a very limited number of days a month that a woman is fertile, and even under the best of conditions, you only have about a 25% chance of actually getting pregnant each month.
If you're thinking about ways to get pregnant, the most important thing to think about is timing. It is the most critical factor, and yet so many get this wrong. Part of the problem is the widely held notion that women ovulate on day 14 of their cycle. This myth comes from the false assumption that women have a perfect 28 day cycle and ovulate right in the middle. The truth is, many women have cycles that are much shorter or longer than this, and they don't necessarily ovulate at the halfway point. There is a great range which is personal to each women, and therefore it is fundamental that you get to know your body and figure out what time of the month you are generally ovulating. Also keep in mind that this can change from month to month. It's quite common to ovulate on day 13 or 14 or 15 or even 16 for the same woman on different months.
One of the best ways to get pregnant to determine approximately what time each month that you do ovulate. The best way to do that is to get a basal body thermometer and chart your temperature each morning upon waking, before doing anything else. If you do this for some time you will see that your temperatures rise each month a few tenths of a degree and then stay up until your period comes. This shift in temperatures signifies that you have indeed ovulated. Once you have a good idea when this occurs month to month, you will have a better chance of predicting when you might be ovulating.
It is important to note, the best way to get pregnant is to make sure the sperm is "waiting" before the egg is released. The sperm can live for approximately 3-5 days inside a woman, but the egg only lives for about 12-24 hours. So, for the best chance of conceiving, it is best to time intercourse for several days leading up to ovulation and on the day of ovulation too.
Using ovulation test kits will give you a helpful indicator of when ovulation is approaching. Usually the test will predict ovulation within about 36 hours, so once the test turns positive, it is important to have intercourse that day and for the next couple of days until your temperature shows that you have already ovulated.

I had a misscarige at 12 weeks one year ago. it was so easy to get pregnent the first time. It's not so easy this time! we have been trying for 10mos and we have had no luck. it breaks my heart everytime i start my period.
i was on the depo injections for over 6 years, after trying to concieve for a year with no luck i tried an ovulation kit. I knew my periods came every 25 days so started the ovulation testing at 12 days after the first day of my last period. Bingo, i was ovulating. Me and my partner had sex once a day for the next 4 days just to make sure there was plenty of sperm swimming around! This is because if the ovulation kits shows a line to say you are ovulating it can be 24-36 hours after testing before it you actually ovulate. 5 days later got extremely tender breast just like i got before a period except this was earlier than normal and lasted for longer than before, just had a feeling. Did a hpt 2 days before period was due, there was a faint positive. Did one the next day to confirm and again positive. I was over the moon. Gave birth to a healthy baby boy 6 months ago. My husband and I have been trying for the past year....since the past year we have been doing the method described in this article and yet no luck. i went to the doctor and everything is normal and he told us that it takes time for the body to adjust to a pregnancy on first timers because the body also recognizes the embryo as being a bacteria in the body and then killing..after many tries the body then realizes that is not a bacteria therefore allowing it to implant in the uterus. I hate that so many people in the world get pregnant with children and then murder their children at abortion clinics. There are people that may not be able to have children that would love to adopt and love those children like their own. For all of you that go through the heartbreak every month of finding out it didn't happen..don't give up. It will happen when the time is right and when you least expect it. Its still hasn't happened for me but I have hope with all my heart that it will. Love and luck to all!! Btw this article sounds very helpful and I will try it. I already keep track of what day I start every month so I basically know when I'm ovulating every month. I also quit smoking and take prenatal vitamins every night before bed. I had all the test and my left tube was damaged i had a operation in september 2008. I am now taking clomid 50mg for six months.... I've had baby fever for quite a few years now, though I am only 18. I know a lot will scoff at that, but I see my brother who is 20 and his girlfriend who is turning 19 soon with their son and they don't even appreciate what they have. I have been waiting for someone special to raise a child with... I've finally found him, only he had a vesectomy after his second child with his ex girlfriend. Hi everyone, I just got married this past August and my husband and I have been together for 6 years now, it will be three years in January when I was diagonsed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and this means that I have more male hormones then female and I am insulilant resistant so losing the weight is very hard, but I have been on medication for will be 3 years and I have been off birth control for a month and half. I'm not really sure how to start this. Reading everyone's comments are support to me because I can see that I'm not the only one in the same situation. I have been married for almost 5 years. Never got pregnant once - also never really tried because I wanted to be finically stabled. My husband and I are young. I pray to give him the gift he has always desired. We have now been trying for year. I do not have regular periods. Most times they are 3 months apart and lasts up to 4 days. Praying for our child.

Me and my fiance have been trying for 3 years now. weve just moved house and as soon as we are booked in with the doctors we are going to make and apointment for some help or just advice. Ithink I may invest in a ovulation test kit anythings worth a try! we sort of gave up for a while if that makes sense concentraiting on moving doing our new place up 9which we are still doing0 and he got me a puppy so alot of distraction as such. Thanks a lot for every single tip and every single comment. Me and my husband been trying to conceive for the past 4 months. We have sex every night and I didn't have my period for 3 months. I thought I was pregnant. I went to check up and the doctor said I was not pregnant. I felt sad to hear that I was not. The doctors gave me some pills to help with my menstrual and now I have my period. I will use these tips after my period is over. Good luck to us all on trying.

Me and hub has no problem getting pregnant. My hub is 7 years older then I'm. We have regular sex. I know this might sound so optimistic, but my hub can get me pregnant so easy. I get pregnant every year until my hub said we have enough babies. Some time there nothing wrong with female ovulating. It could positively from male that sometime has problem with his spem. It could be fault when he said it done which he's not. Don't split up cus you cant get pregnant. Keep on trying time will come.....God bless you all...goo goo gaa gaa

I have been with my boyfriend for eight years and 6 and 1/2 of those eight years we have been having un protected test and I havent gotten pregnant. I went to the fertility clinic, they tested him and me and couldnt find anything wrong. They said to just keep trying. I am desparate to be a mum and every month I see my period I get sad and depressed. I have decided to try clomid and see how that works. You need to regulate your cycle if you want to have a good chance of getting pregnant. You should have your hormones checked by your doctor so see why you are not ovulating every month.

i am among those wivwes who keep sacrificing for their so called husbands. my husband wanted to achieve some status before he becomes father. i conceived thrice but had to tk MT pills as he didnt want the baby at that time. now when he has recognition and status, he cant have baby. i cant conceive even after trying a lot. i feel lonely, especially when i see kids around. its painful but cant share with anyone.
I am 24 and have been sexually active for a very long time (longer than I should've been). I can't say I was always practicing safe sex but after 4 years with the same man, here I am 10 weeks pregnant. There is hope....oh I also have a fibroid cyst but that isn't affecting me now...it might be why its taken so long though.

My husband and I are approching out 7th wedding anniversary in a few days. I will turn 40 in January, I have my own miracle story that I hope will give everyone the hope to KEEP TRYING FOR A BABY! I have had multiple tests done and was told there was nothing wrong with me and there should be no reason for me not to be able to concieve. I tried to get pregnant all through my twenties and early thirties, after my first marrage failed and a handful of boyfriends, I thought that I was pregnant on many occasions, only to be heartbroken when my period came, after the birth of my nephew and later my neice I was devestated for many years not understanding what was going on, I never wanted to take the fertility pills and I did not want multipule births, so after meeting my wonderful husband in 2001, we were married in 2002 and have had unprotected sex for 5 years, although I had little hope of ever having children of my own and pretty much built our lives around not having any, I became pregnant on our 5th wedding anniversary, and we were not trying at the time, I had completely given up at that point, I took 2 hpt tests and the first one did not come out correctly and the second one said pregnant, I must have stared at that test for 15 minutes, I could not believe what what I was seeing, I was in such shock of trying for all those years and nothing. I am happy to say that 9 months later I had a beautiful baby boy, he is now a little over 2 years, let me say please to all the women out there who want a baby, prepare yourself, as the love you have and feel for your child is like nothing you have ever felt before, I have never been so in love as I was the day he was born and every day since then, they change you in a ways you can never had imagined. We have been trying to have another for about a year now, I am testing out the ovulation kit myself and hope that it can help us to have another child. My bf is in the army,over 4000 miles away from me...we really want a baby. i was with him for a month, however we never had sex everyday...my period was 5 days late and i had so many pregnancy symptom. It breaks my heart when i get my pd, or when you find out alll your friends are getting pregnant except for you. you feel so worthless at times. or when you have people asking you to get pregnant already. ugh but then again i leave everything under gods arms. so hopefully one day we will just don't stress.
