Ways To Save Money On Food
54As Americans we spend alot of money on food. Most of us spend alot of time in the drive thru or at the local diner. The reason is because it is convenient and alot of the time we go there because we didn't buy groceries or we don't want to spend the evening in the kitchen after a hard day at work!
Well if you keep the basic staples in your pantry, you can come up with some goodies in minutes.
Try this quickie:
Go by your favorite restarant and buy two peices of their grilled chicken (or cook your own) cut incubes
add to left over rice
add a jar of salsa
a can of whole kernel corn
a can of black beans
serve with tortilla chips
or how about this:
Save all of your left over cookies, cakes and cup cakes..freeze them.(be brave
mix the flavors like oreo's,yellow cupcakes and carrot cake)
when you get a some saved up throw them in a food processor and pulse them until you have crumbs.Leave the icing on them you can throw in whatever you want add coconut or chocolate chips even nuts. add milk and an egg or two. you want it to be brownie consistency ...pour in square or rectangle pan and bake. It will make a tasty little snack cake.

yes it works!!! The cookies and cakes already have flour and sugar in them.I guess you could say that you are recycling their ingredients. And if they are a little stale it doesnt matter because when you bake this it will be a fresh product.
