In order to get rid of thigh fat, there are certain processes that you will need to follow. It is commonly known that women tend to store more fat around their thighs than men do. Which means it will take a woman a lot longer to lose the fat.
Firstly you need to look at what your diet consists off. Do not make the mistake of thinking that a big reduction in calories is going to get rid of your fat thighs. You can cut down the amount of food that you eat, if you know that you are eating too much. The main thing you need to consider about your intake of food is not just what you eat but also how much you eat.
You will never get rid of the thigh fat if you keep eating junk foods. You will have to think about getting the calories from different foods. Dont take them from foods which are doing you no good, start and get them from foods which are good for you.
The next step is exercise. The legs are the largest muscles in the entire body. Doing to little exercise for them will get you only minimal results.
You can do cardio exercises that target your thighs. Equipment which will help you to get rid of the thigh fat are rowing machine, ski machine,bicycle and stepper. You will have to take it up a level if you do want to see faster results. For this you are going to have to use weights to train.
Don't use the very tiny little dumbells which usually come in nice happy colours. Make sure you are not training with too light a weight as you are not going to get any results at all. You need a set of dumbbells that are going to make it hard to get 12 reps out of any exercise. The best thing about this training is it will only last for ten minutes and it will get rid of the thigh fat. It's not going to be easy.
Do 12-15 squats with the dumbbells held at your sides. Don't take a break after you have done this, exercise each leg with ten lunges. After you have completed the lunges repeat the squats again before having a couple of minutes rest. You then repeat this 2 more times.
When you get to the position where it is easy for you, increase the amount of weight you are lifting. Three times a week is what you should be looking at, if you find yourself struggling with this you can reduce it down to 2 days. A combination of weight training and cardiovascular exercises is going to be the most effective way of getting rid of thigh fat for you.
