In Board Licensure Examination there's no shortcut in passing, you must try to live with it and overcome it.

(Authors Note: the tips here are universal which can be helpful for any reviewees in passing the Engineering Board Licensure Examination, Nursing Board Licensure Examination, Licensure Examination for Elementary or Secondary Teachers, Bar Examination, and any other Board Licensure Examination for aspiring to become professionals) there is no shortcut in passing, you must try to live with it and at the same time overcome it. Its like you are in the middle of the jungle and you must find ways to survive. Below are my tried and tested tips that will give you instant cutting edge while your preparing to tame the dreaded Board Licensure Examination. I'm done with this already and poured all what I had and at the end I finally collared the much coveted and elusive plum - The Electronics and Communications Engineering License . I've endured a lot of difficulties, sacrificed a lot, devised techniques to maximized my efficiency and reviewed everything under the sun, and I'm very glad I pulled through and saw the light at the of the tunnel. I hope this will help you a lot in your preparation.

1. Be Resourceful.

Take as many review materials as you can, if you can borrow most of them do so. Be meticulous in your choice of review materials that you will use. Quality is better than quantity, but if you can have both quality and quantity, why not.

2. Choose the Best Available Review Center.

If you're still looking for an excellent Review Center to prepare for your Board Licensure Examination, look for the one that simply stands out from the rest. Ask somebody that already had taken the examination, I'm sure most of them reviewed in a review center before, ask them the quality of lecturers, facilities that they have to offer and the techniques that you could acquire from them. Look for the one that produces topnotchers and with high percentage of passing rate. Don't get fooled with publicity gimmicks, for an excellent review center will always be recognized by mere words of mouth. Previous reviewees will talk good about their respective review centers. Excellent review center will give you an advantage but not guarantee of passing. If you're short in budget though, settle for the second best or perhaps the third best, for as long as you are determined, resourceful and resilient you are capable of performing well in the examination, this will settle the score, even if your not reviewing in the best review center available.

3. Dont Rely on Luck.

I never believed in luck when I took my Board Licensure Examination, but I do believe that you make your own luck. Why? When you are well prepared and equipped yourself with techniques and sound stock knowledge, you might think your just guessing in difficult questions, actually you're not, because you are making an educated guess. Educated guessing has higher chance of getting correct answers rather than just making a random answers.

4. Dont Rely on Faith Alone.

Its okay to be faithful and keep on praying all the time during preparation for the exam or during the exam itself, but do your part as well, review well to the best of your capabilities. God only help those who help themselves.

5. Get Healthy and Relaxed.

A tired mind cannot be able to process and store knowledge. Stay focused by exercising daily and eating a diet rich in protein if your health will permit to do it so. A simple exercise will help a lot. Try basic Yoga for a change, this will surely give you boost in replenishing and refreshing your mind. Eat also foods that are rich in protein like eggs, tuna, meat and the likes for these are brain foods. I would also suggest that you will take brain vitamins if your health will permit so like Glutaphos and Brands essence of Chicken. I tried these, while I took the Board Licensure Examination and while I'm still reviewing, and these helped me a lot in making me sharp in storing much needed knowledge. You may take any brain vitamins in your own respective countries if this permit you so, but be careful in using them, follow what is prescribed.

6. Love Stock Knowledge.

This is the turning point and your passport to success, store stock knowledge as much as you can, please. My lecturer in my review center said one time during our review that even honor students aren't spared from failing in the Board Licensure Examination, a lot of factors may count here, like over rationalization, over confident, over pressured or perhaps lack of preparation that leads to poor accumulation of stock knowledge. The capability of storing stock knowledge always plays a vital role in passing the Board Licensure Examination. Good results always favor those who had a good preparation. The trick in passing Board Licensure Examination will not rely on how intelligent you are, good results will always boils down to who had garnered and stored much stock knowledge given in the duration of the review. Remember that every examinee will start from the scratch. I't would help a lot if you studied well in college, but this is not a genuine guarantee that your going to pass the Board Licensure Examination, the best way is to gather much needed knowledge by reviewing a lot. As much as possible try to expose yourself with those problems and questions that was given in the previous examinations because these will give you the luxury of getting acclimatized with the real Board Licensure Examination, will eased out tension and will enable you to know the trend. Trending is very much important in your review since you'll get to feel the preference or choice of questions of test givers. Immerse yourself with typical board problems and questions these will surely boosts your chances of passing. Go with the flow of river currents for if you'll go against it you might not get through it or even you'll get drowned.

7. Unwind Once in a While.

If your tired of reviewing and acquiring ample knowledge find ways to relax, its just okay to do this for as long as you will not lose your focus and concentration while reviewing. If you feel like going to beach, computer arcade or going to somewhere else its just okay to give you the much needed happiness and relaxation just to get rid of stress and pressure, do this so., this is very helpful. Remember that the greatest Grandmasters in chess in the world would always find time to relax by playing sports like basketball, tennis and the likes or find ways ways to unwind and to relax, charge up lost energy.

8. Be Fluid. Keep on Moving

Dont be stagnant with your review, always find ways to keep on moving, this is a marathon contest, not a mere something, there's a lot of things at stake here, your future, career, reputation and a lot more. If your good in some field of expertise already, try to be versatile, shift gears at once. The Board Exam favors those with great stock knowledge, move on, try to learn new things, use dictionary all the time to understand the difficult words that will come your way. Once you've learned a lot in a particular field shift to the things you haven't learn yet. Don't be redundant. Moreover, develop mental toughness, get yourself used to reviewing in long hours, during my review I set 4 to 10 hours a day to learn techniques in problem solving, understanding numerous and various concepts and principles, learning survival techniques which is usually taught in review centers, memorizing important things and doing other relevant things associated to my review. Mental toughness is very important since actual examination will take many enduring hours to finish. Boosts your psychological toughness too, like always thinking that you will be rewarded and your future will be okay if you will pass the exam. Top athletes around the world use this technique to perform well during competitions

9. During the Examination.

Three days before the examination it is advisable that you're resting already, but you can still review at this crucial time for as long as you have a normal sleep, ample rest and your feeling well. One day before the examination you must be well prepared, you know your room assignment with you and at the same time you have the much needed paraphernalias like pencil, extra sheet of paper, admission slip, important documents if necessary and the likes. Be sure that you know the rules and regulations in taking the exam to prevent any forfeitures in your examination and of course, avoid cheating, this is void since the examination is of great magnitude, if you'll figure in wrongdoings this might cause you your reputation and career in the future. Use mental toughness to withstand the exam for long hours and keep cheering yourself up to perform well. Before and after the examinations pray to thank God for helping you prepare and take the exam. If you pass the exam that's excellent you will surely jump for joy as if you've won in a lottery, nyahahaha. If you fail however, don't get discouraged, you win some you lose some, things will balanced at the end. If you gave your all and you didn't bring home the bacon try again next time at least you already had an exposure and experience in tackling exam, this will be your distinct advantage when you take another exam in the near future.

10. Use Your Time Wisely.

Don't get intimidated with your fellow examinee that will finish their respective exams very early, most of these examinees are not well prepared since most of them are just making a random answers on their answer sheets, don't get swayed by them. Don't be on a hurry answering the questions in your test booklets, you will not earn extra points if you will finish the exam ahead of many. Use your time wisely, for this is your right. Try to answer those easy questions as you progresses to the more difficult. This is tried and tested way in saving your time wisely. You must come up with an educated guess in every difficult questions you will encounter. Be sure that at least 5 to 15 minutes before the time allotted to you, you had answered all the questions in the answer sheets provided to you by your examinee.

Good Luck!!! I know you can do it.

Books will be your constant companion during your review, love them and you'll learn a lot from them. Be persevering and you'll reap inevitable rewards soon.

Hey GH, I just remember my comment. You forgot one thing - forget about falling in love or dating or getting a boyfriend / girlfriend during your review as it may negatively affect you. I know, it happened to me =). Thank goodness I passed but for a while I thought I won't.
