Ways to Naturally Lower Blood Pressure

The stresses of everyday life can really add up and they do affect our blood pressure. But thankfully, with some lifestyle changes, we can naturally lower high blood pressure.

Salt

One way and one of the important ways to naturally lower high blood pressure is watching how much salt we eat every day. Lowering our salt intake can make a big difference. You'd be amazed at how much salt some processed foods contain. Yes, our bodies do need salt to function properly, but the amount we need is very minimal, much less than what is put into salt these days. And having a restriction on the amount of salt can make for some great kitchen experimenting. There are so many spices and other natural flavorings that can replace salt and it's amazing how tasty dishes can be without salt!

Diet

In addition to watching the amount of salt we eat, diet also plays a role in naturally lowering high blood pressure. Fresh fruits and vegetables are obvious choices for healthy food. Obviously processed junk food will be a big no-no. Way too much salt! In addition to naturally lowering blood pressure, having a healthy diet also leads to feeling better.

Stress

Living a high stress lifestyle can definitely increase blood pressure. An excellent way to naturally lower high blood pressure is to de-stress. Either with a hobby or just some self pampering. Whatever makes for some rest and relaxation after a rough day.
