We Are "King Priests"!
68King Priests Of A Holy Nation
Temple Veil
"...and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." Revelations 1:6 NKJV The Holy Bible
As believers, God has made us King priests serving under the Lord Jesus Christ. God has made us Christians into a Holy Nation of Holy People.
Revelations 20:6 states that we will reign with Him a thousand years! " Revelations 6 Blessed and holy are those who take part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and of Christ. They will rule with him for 1,000 years." http://www.biblegateway.com
Our priestly duties can be summed up in three words: Sacrifice, Praise and Intercession.
1. We bring ourselves as a living sacrifice to God.
Romans 12:1-8-Key Verse(s): Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice--the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask?
Matthew 19:16-30-Key Verse(s): Jesus told him, "If you
want to be perfect, go and sell all you have and give the money to the
poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." Note: This does not mean we are to forget about our responsibility to our family but what it does mean is that if God calls us to give up something His greater purpose or to follow Him into a ministry then we are to obey!
We must give of ourselves: Our time, our energy, our finances. These are things of substance. Our Love of God/Christ and dedication to Him must rise above everything else in our lives. We must be willing to do God's work. Willing to heed His call and follow Him wherever He may lead us.
2. Praise
Hebrews 13:8-17-Key Verse(s): With Jesus' help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. Don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God. to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. Hebrews 13:15-16 "Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you the sacrifice of praise" (Hosea 14:2)
We must thank God for His goodness and His grace. For all He has given us. From the least to the most. For the good and the bad. We must come to Him humbly in joyful thanksgiving. If not for His grace, we as the sinners we are, would be damned forever. It is only because of His love for us, that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, so that we might find forgiveness and find eternity in Heaven.
3. Intercession
Hebrews 10:19-Key Verse(s): Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
A High Priest In the temple used to prepare the sacrifice and disappear behind the temple veil to the place of the Holy of Hollies to give the sacrifice. He, the High Priest had to have a true heart, clean conscience and be washed pure. If he or the sacrifice was not properly prepared he would die after slipping behind the temple veil.
God wanted a Nation of Priests. He wanted go betweens to stand between God's Holiness and Man's sinfulness! God wanted this for the Nation of Israel, but they were more interested in worshiping idols. Exodus 19:5-6and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel." http://www.biblegateway.com
Jesus Christ is the perfect King of High Priests by the order of (A) Melchizedek. Jesus, brought himself as the perfect sacrifice before God when He walked His sinless life on this earth and then was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. At the time of His crucifixion the temple veil tore! Jesus became our intercessor, He stands between us and God and pleads our case!
We are to be intercessors and reach out in loving ministry not only to the people who are members in our churches but also to those who are outside of Church. We are God's representatives, king-priests, responsible to take the truth to the world we live in. We must be committed to these principles and not be self immersed.
We must be prayer warriors! Praying for our families, friends, church members, the community we live in, The leaders of our Government, our World and ask God to do His will. He is the ultimate Judge and Jury! The giver of life and He who decides when it should end! He is the great provider and all things come together for the good of those who worship Him!
I want to make one thing very clear. We are not serving on the same level as God/Jesus/Holy Spirit. We are serving under them. We are simply "king priests" of the Kingdom in the same way that the Temple Priests were. It is our ministry "duty and privilege" to God to give our Sacrifices to Him, to Serve Him and His people!
Notation: (A) (Gen 14:18) And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God,

Hi there
We that are Born of the Water and the Spirit are automatically Kings and Priests. As he is in heaven so are we on earth, all things in Christ, we are as he is. Every time God looks at us he sees Jesus Christ. He is our mediator and is the " only begotten Son in whom God is pleased with" because I am in Christ so is God pleased with me. Jesus righteousness is my righteousness. I AM the righteousness of Christ, same as Father and Jesus are one , Jesus and I are one.
Blessings
