52A Moment Of Silence
A moment of silence, does that accomplish anything with you? Do you actually pray, or just stand there in a blank state of mind?
One day, as an office person, asked everyone to "step outside" the building for a "moment of silence", i almost broke out in laughter or a prayer, not sure which. I mean, if you are going to stand there, why not do somethng useful with your "moment of silence". What exactly does that accomplish? I would much rather say a prayer, or heck, strike up a conversation. Maybe someone needs to talk, or to actually pray.
Am i the only bird that is swimming around here? Or, are there others that have the same thoughts?
I choose to pray, at any time, at any place, that i so choose. I will, and no one can tell me different, since it is my God given right, to do so. No man can take that from me. Final.
I am not being a hard nose, well maybe so, but it's my right. I was given it the day that i was born. I refuse to let any man, any law, or any judge, take that right away from me.
Join me in a prayer, if you will:
Lord give us the strength to keep going. Lead us and guide us, in our daily lives. You know wht we have need of, and what we need to survive on this earth. We ask you to provide our needs, and to protect our families. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

How's it going in Texas Shirley? Interesting Read. Prayer is important. I like to say a short prayer now and again. Example: When I get to my class early in the morning and its all nice and quiet - I ask God for wisdom to teach the lesson that day or when I get home I'd say a short prayer to thank God for bringing me home safely. They only last about 2 minutes but to me its important. :)
