Weaver rifle scopes were invented during the 1930’s. Over time they have been able to create for themselves a reputation for their use in hunting and general shooting. The 330 is the most popular Weaver scope next to the 440. Both of which are able to deliver high quality and good value.

Despite their high quality products the company was not able to stay together. Like dozens of other rifle scope companies they went bankrupt several times over the years. During the 1990’s the company was bought out by Meade who also acquired Simmons and Redfield.

Not long after this merge the company created the Grand Slam scopes. This once again boosted the quality of the Weaver scopes and was able to keep their reputation up. This specific line includes the the 1.5-5x32mm and the 3-10x40mm as well as the 3.5-10x50mm and the 4.5-14x40mm scope.

These rifle scopes have been built with tubes made from quality aluminum that is also found on special airplanes. These scopes are 1” in diameter and the lenses they use have been made from high quality camera glass. The glare if reduced through the use of multi coatings.
