Ever Wonder Who Shares Your Web Pages on Twitter?
48Twitter is the #1 social networking/social broadcasting service out there, not only for networking, but also, promoting your site, SEO, etc. Many bloggers and business have seen their web traffic increase in a matter of weeks after they created and started interacting on this mini-social tool, but have you ever wonder Who Shares Your Web Pages on Twitter?
You may have heard of search engines like summize or tweetcan.com but they only work for words or phrases. It is a great tool, but Twitter been a micro-blogging site that only allows 140 characters, URLs are usually auto-converted into short URLs, generally using tinyurl.com.
We recently wrote a great article on How To Plan Software Like a Pro, but of course the URL for the article has to many characters for twitter, http://www.faceyspacey.com/blog/index.php?/archives/126-How-to-Plan-Software-like-a-Pro.html, which means that if the article was ever shared before, twitter has shorten the URL making it impossible for us to find out about who has shared it. Therefore, they way for us to find out by going to tinyurl.com and generate the short URL for that same article, http://tinyurl.com/5uv43n . The great thing about this is that TinyURL will only generate a one and only URL for that article making it possible for you to track the shared pages.
So this is the trick, once you have the “Short” “TinyURL” summize.com click Search and find out about who has shared, commented or talked about our article.
Pretty Cool, ugh? Give it Try! It’s also a great way to Follow the “Right” People. ;)
