Webkinz Party Games

A Webkinz birthday party is a great idea for children of all ages. Here is a list of some Webkinz games we played at our Webkinz Birthday Party as well as some other fun games that you can tie in.

Webkinz Party

Webkinz Chef Gazpacho's Hot Potato

(from webkinz.com)

This game is played just like the regular version of Hot potato. All you need is a group kids, a bean bag; or if its hot enough and you are outside you can also use water balloons; and music that can be paused. Have the kids sit in a circle with every one facing into the middle. Hand one person the bean bag and instruct them that when you start the music they pass the bean bag around the circle starting with the person next to them. Than when the music stops whoever is holding the bean bag is out. Continue to play the game until everyone is out.

Pin the Tail on the Pink Pony

This is a spin off of another classic, pin the tail on the donkey. This is also similar to the Webkinz version of this game which is called Pin the Glasses on Plumpy.

Setup:

  • Markers

  • White Poster board

  • Pink wig

  • Felt Stickers

  • Stapler

  • Ribbon

Take the white poster board and draw your pink pony on it, remember to leave off the tail. Then you can take the pink wig, which can be bought at the Dollar Tree, and cut it in to tails, one tail per person at the party. Staple the tail to the felt sticker. You can than use the ribbon to make a bow and attach it to the tail for flourish. All you need now is a blindfold and you are ready to play.

Hang your pink pony on a wall and hand each girl a pink pony tail. Taking turns one at a time, blindfold the player and spin them around a few times. Than face them in the direction of the Pink Pony and have them try and put the tail on. Tip: Eliminate feeling around, when they feel around at the other tails it makes the game a lot less of a challenge. Give a prize to whoever makes it the closest.

Webkinz Tabby's Telephone

(from webkinz.com)

Kids love the game telephone for all the silly things they end up saying. In this version you are trying to get the message to “Tabby” who is the player at the end of the line (If playing with a group of boys you might want to use a different Webkinz character, such as Artie). Have all the kids’ sit in a line, shoulder to shoulder. The front of the line starts the message then they pass it on by whispering in each others ears. They might say things like “Happy Birthday” or “What a great Party”. The challenge is that they are only allowed to say the message once, no re-whispering. The person at the end of the line tells what they thought they heard when the message gets to them. You will laugh at the funny things they end up saying. Take turns by having the person at the beginning of the line move to the back after the message has been announced; this way everyone gets a chance passing a message.

Statues

This is a fun game to play to work off the hyper energy after eating cake. You only need music you can pause and kids. Have all the kids stand in a room with a lot of space around them. Tell them that when the music starts you want them to jump and dance around like crazy. Then when the music stops they have to freeze like statues, whoever moves is out. Hopefully you will catch them in some poses where they have no choice but to move, like mid cart wheel. If you have a group that is really careful about not getting into bad positions or no one is getting out, mix it up by making them stand on one foot. You may actually be surprised at how still they can be.
