Website Advertising

What is advertising? According to dictionary.com advertising is: the act or practice of calling public attention to one's product, service, need, etc., esp. by paid announcements in newspapers and magazines, over radio or television, on billboards, etc.
You can see that there are a few different ways that people are able to do their advertising, but if there are so many ways to advertise which way works the best? They all work very well, in my opinion, but there is one way that is not mentioned in dictionary.com that reaches all parts of the world 24 hours a day 7 day a week. It is the art of website advertisement. Millions and millions of people search Google every day. If you have a business website and become a master of website advertising you can literally reach millions of people per month for a minimal price. It depends on what company you go with but most website advertising rates are going to pretty close to the same. You can buy a website and get it hosted for under $50 for a whole year. Then if you use a few marketing tools to get your Google indexing up, after a few months to a year you could potentially have 100 to 1000 people looking at you site every single day. If you use all of the tools to help you get ranked in Google it will probably cost you around $200 for the whole year. This cost compared to the cost of a TV commercial or a radio ad is significantly lower .It might take you some time, but after you get the ball rolling it kind of takes care of itself.
Energy Drinks
You can find just about anything you want on the Internet. For example, I really love the Monster Energy Drink so I have been doing a lot of research on the rising debate, in the past few years, on the healthiness of energy drinks? And what I have found out is that while it may be true that most of the drinks do not come with many health benefits you have to also consider the fact that neither does soda pop, but people still buy it.
I have come to the conclusion that we have two large debates when it comes to energy drinks. The biggest debate is the health factor that is involved with drinking them, which I will go over in one of my future posts. I would like to take a minute and talk to you about what, in my opinion, is the second biggest debate that people have with energy drink companies. It is the misleading advertisements put out by most energy drink businesses, both MLM as well as corporate.
Why would these companies push the sale of their product based on the health benefit if there really is little to no health advantage at all? Do you really think that these companies are more worried about the healthiness of their product over the profit they get from selling it? It is simple; they just understand the power of promoting their merchandise in a captive manner in order to get the sale they want.
Our whole nation is so wrapped up on becoming more healthy (which is a good thing) that when we see an advertisement that sells a product based on the health factor we don’t even question if it is really good for us or not, we just buy it. Most advertising networks do not care if what is being said is honest and true; they just want their paycheck that comes from publishing that advertisement. It is scary to think about the advertising that goes on online these days. With all of the new ways to do website advertising it is amazing how many people can be reached through the web.
The Mortgage Industry
Let’s take a minute and look at the mortgage companies over the past few years. Do you think that all of these sub prime mortgages were the best product out there? The reason our nation is in so much trouble right now is primarily because of the housing industry and all of the sub prime mortgages that were sold in the past 6 years. Did that stop the newspapers, radio or television stations from publishing all of the ads that were created by these corrupt mortgages companies? I think the answer to that is apparent. I am sure that all of you remember how enticing they made these mortgages seem. There was not a day that went by that I don’t remember seeing an advertisement on either the paper, the radio station or on TV about these amazing mortgages. Do you remember how alluring they made these advertisements seem. You if didn’t get yourself one of these mortgages soon you were not going to be part of the cool crowd.
I hope I make my point clear when talking about how advertisements can be bought? If you have money and are clever with your words, you can make anyone believe whatever you want them to believe. These advertising companies are very good at what they do so don’t feel bad if you have ever had an idea sold to you that you later regretted.
Have you ever noticed how many different energy drink companies are out there? There are around 15, multi level marketing companies that sell energy drinks, in Utah alone. That’s not even counting all of the big companies like red bull and monster. What is the most important aspect of business? Well, unless you are a nonprofit organization it is probably the bottom line, the profit. Do you think these energy drink companies are more worried about the healthiness of their drinks or the profit they generate from selling them? I imagine they care about their product not hurting their clients but do you think they worry as much about the health benefits as the consumer does? It’s sad to say but probably about 95% of all the companies in the world are in business for money only. They do want their products to have some quality but only just enough quality to get it off the shelf and into the consumer hands.
I love the taste of most energy drinks; in fact my favorite is the green monster, so I don’t see a problem with people drinking these energy drinks. My point here is not to detour from them in any way, my idea for writing this is to bring you to the realization that if you are going to drink the drinks for the purpose of becoming more healthy, please do some investigation from a few third party sources before you dive into anything. Just remember, publicity can be bought even if it is only half-truth. When I advertise my website I do my homework on what is best for the customer and that is what they get. Why can't everyone else just be honest and do the same? So get out there and do your homework like the responsible person that you are.
