Wedding Albums with Style

Wedding albums are a great keepsake for the bride and groom that reflect one of the happiest occasions in their life. Whether you are putting a wedding album together for yourself or wanting to give one as a gift, they can be a really great way to reflect style and display your wedding photos creatively. The first thing you want to consider when creating a wedding album, is to consider the couple's style and taste preference. This will help narrow down the kind of wedding album you are going to want to give. There are two basic styles, professional and creative. Both are equally beautiful and can bring to life their happy occasion in a tasteful and decorative way.

Professional Photo Albums

Professional photo albums tend to be very different from their creative style counterparts. For starters, the photos are usually done in a glossy finish and tend to tell the story of the day starting from the ceremony and then going into the events of the reception. A lot of times they are bound professionally and the creator can add interesting elements to the photos, like making some of the pictures black and white, etc. This type of photo album can be created by just about anyone as long as you have a variety of photos to choose from, you only want to use the best ones, and a computer. There are several free services out there that will let you create a professional photo album and all you pay for is the finished project. A few things to consider when deciding if this is the type of photo album for you. If the couple has hired a professional photographer for their wedding, more than likely a photo album is included in their package. Also, if you do not have a lot of pictures to choose from you may want to consider another option as this is meant to be their main source of displaying their wedding photos and they will likely only want the most flattering shots of them to be considered.

Creative Photo Albums

Creative photo albums have much more flexibility when it comes to creating them. This is more like a scrapbook version of their wedding and can really begin anywhere. You might start with them dating and build into the wedding, or just decide to transcribe the wedding events. Either way, there really are no rules when it comes to creating them. These types of wedding albums tend to be very time intensive, as there is a lot that goes into to making a great creative album. They are fun but if not done well can look sloppy. Some things to consider, buy good products when you are making a good creative album. There are specialty stores that cater to this type of photo album. They sell glue; that is safe for the pictures, scissors; that cut out interesting designs, and words; that say cute things like newlyweds, so that it doesn't look like a children's craft project. This is essential to designing a scrapbook type of wedding album. Also, you want to make sure you title the pages and moments, or that they follow some kind of theme. This type of album tends to jump around, making captions and themes much more important since they do not follow a specific timeline. This type of album can also be given blank if it is a gift. If you know that they bride and groom are fairly crafty, then this becomes a project they can do together. They usually have access to all the pictures and may even enjoy working on it together.

Remember if done properly a wedding album reflects style and can be a wonderful present. Both creative and professional albums can be equally stunning given the right amount of time and effort that is put into them. Variety is the key when providing the photographs, as this is going to be a gift for both of them to share. Make sure the album features each person and their family as equally as possible. Also, only include flattering pictures of the bride, as this is her day and you want the gift to be utilized not stuck on a shelf somewhere. This is a wonderful way to commemorate a beautiful occasion and can make a truly personal gift.
