The first thing that you will do is select your wedding date, then it's the location and next the bridal and bridesmaid gowns. Then you will make the next important decision, choosing wedding bouquets and bridal flowers. By now you will already have determined the mood and color scheme for your wedding so it is simply a matter of choosing a flower and design that matches your needs.

The style of bouquet you choose will depend entirely on your wedding style and formality. For a formal wedding you will likely have a larger bridal bouquet while a simpler wedding will have a smaller bouquet, although the bouquet should always be proportional in size to the person that will be carrying it as well. Consider a few of the more common bouquet styles that you can choose from.

The traditional bouquet is round, providing a simple yet elegant approach for both formal and informal wedding plans. The flowers can be in a tight cluster for a dense appearance or loosely arranged to give a more open feel. For a more formal look flowers such as roses will be used while for an information look a flower such as the daisy will be chosen.

Then there is the cascade style bouquet which is a more sophisticated and elongated style that has a lot of blossoms at the top before tapering down with flowing foliage, streamers or ribbons on the bottom.

For the more elegant and formal wedding favors the perfect choice is a presentation bouquet which is carried across the inner bend of the elbow and consists mainly of long-stemmed flowers. To keep the bouquet together a ribbon or bow in the wedding colors is typically used. Some of the more popular flower choices include lilies, orchids, roses and larkspur.

For a different approach there is the new freeform or contemporary style. This is a bouquet that has flowers or greenery coming out at all different angles with no specific individual shape. These bouquets are typically made using tropical flowers and foliage with unique shapes.

Another unique option is to carry your flowers arranged and carried n a small basket. This is an excellent option for the wedding that will be taking place in a garden or garden like setting. Sometimes you can even have the basket carried by someone other than the bride such as the flower girl, bridesmaid or a young attendant.
