Weddings are full of sentiment and seriousness, but your wedding reception can be as fun as you want it to be you just have to free your imagination. As we all know today a wedding reception is all about having fun! For those who are in need of ideas for games to play at the reception or a party theme for the bridal shower, here are some interesting ideas.

A good idea is to set up a container of confetti’s in colors that match your wedding reception decoration. Make an announcement during the evening that each unmarried female invited at the reception must guess how many confetti’s are in the jar. The guests should write down their answers on their name assignment cards. Towards the end of the evening, let your maid of honor collect the answers and verify the winner. You can then go yourself and personally present her with the bouquet.

Musical Chairs is a traditional wedding game the disc jockey or band plays a tune, then stops the music all of a sudden. Guests then try to rapidly find a seat. Each table of guests should have one chair missing. In this fashion, after each round, one person will have no chair at each table. When only one person is left at each table, he or she wins the table centerpiece. You can also do this with the help of the caterer who can stick a colored sticker at the bottom of one coffee saucer at each table and the one who has the marked saucer wins the centerpiece or still whoever at the table whose birthdate is closest to the wedding date could win the centerpiece. One more idea for the centerpiece is by rotating the saltshaker among the guests at the table. The can start the game with a song and when he stops the music, whoever is holding the saltshaker wins.

Spaghetti Ice Cream

Spaghetti Ice Cream comes from a traditional European dessert, given out at numerous European ice cream shops. In the beginning it was made from the Italian-style gourmet ice cream gelato, strawberry sauce and grated white chocolate. Now this tradition has been brought to the rest of the world. STRAWBERRY SAUCE FOR SPAGHETTI ICE CREAM

Take pre-sweetened frozen strawberries (the ones you use for Strawberry Shortcake) or fresh ripe strawberries. Place them into a blender and blend them until they are mixed into a thick liquid. If the liquid is too thick in consistency, it can be thinned slightly with the addition of a few teaspoons of corn syrup and re-blended. If using fresh ripe strawberries, sweeten to taste with corn syrup. Place the sauce into a covered container and put into the refrigerator until ready for use. If possible, pre-chill the sauce in freezer about ½ hour before making the Spaghetti Ice Cream, so as to minimize any melting of the Spaghetti Ice Cream with by the sauce.
