Weddings are such a joyous occasion with the lovely bride and handsome groom ready to say their special vows to each other. However, there can be little mishaps before the bride or groom reaches the altar. Here are tips to prepare for wedding mishaps.

Things You'll Need:

* sewing kit
* clear nail polish
* white chalk
* first aid cream
* bandages
* pain reliever
* stomach antacid
* tissues
* chilled water
* hair spray
* hair pins
* comb and brush
* hand mirror
* super glue

Pack a sewing kit with small scissors, white thread and a needle. The veil is attached to the comb with only 2 or 3 tiny threads and it is common for them to break. The sewing kit will also come in handy if a corsage becomes separated from the pin or if someone should step on the long train of the gown.

Include clear nail polish and white chalk in your "wedding mishap kit". The nail polish will stop runs in pantyhose and also re-attach rhinestones to the wedding gown. The chalk will cover any stain from the nail polish as well as cover any small dirty spots on both the dress and the shoes. As careful as everyone will be, there could still be someone tripping, a spilled beverage, or a splash from a puddle in bad weather.

Pack first aid cream and small bandages for sore feet. Also include a pain reliever, something for a nervous stomach, and tissues.

Prepare for both the bride and the groom to feel nervous. Include chilled water in the wedding mishap kit as nervous people tend to get a dry mouth. Chilled water will help to prevent dizziness and headaches from dehydration as well as being refreshing.

Even though the bride may have just come from the hair salon, include hair spray, a hand mirror, hair pins, and a small styling comb and brush in the kit, especially if it is windy, humid, or raining.

If the bride and the bridesmaids will be wearing heels, then pack a small tube of super glue for a quick fix of a broken heel or strap. If necessary, touch up the repair (and any scuffs) with chalk.

The groom should pack a polishing cloth for his shoes, especially if there is inclement weather.

Some of these tips will help the groom and best man as much as the bride and her attendants. Prepare for wedding mishaps by making separate kits for the bride and groom.
