Wedding Reception Centerpieces - A Time To Be Creative

What makes a wedding special and unique? The attention the planner gives to the smallest details. Most people cater to the larger picture, often leaving the details to the ready-made wedding decorations shops. However, these details can always give you a scope to be your creative best - which in turn would not only save you a lot of money, but also ensure that you would be remembered for a long time afterwards.

Some Great Ideas For Your Wedding Centerpieces

Most people use fruits or flowers which are so standard that people nowadays do not even observe them anymore - even if they are the most exotic fruit/ flowers. You could always do something out-of-the-way such as:

1. Shells and colored sand centerpiece - You could use a wine glass or a long tumbler made of glass for this. Fill it up in layers with colored sand and different types of shells leaving about three and half from the top. Here you top it with gel candle and put it a wick - and here is a great candle centerpiece for you.

2. Gel candles - use the same way as described above, but substitute the colored sand with large pebbles and this time fill the whole thing with the candle gel. You could also put freshly cut flowers, tiny trinkets, even tiny notes in the transparent gel to make it even more interesting.

3. A set of pens printed with the date and name of the couple - You could have some very attractive pens set up as the wedding centerpiece. Added to that you present each guest a standard sized card where they could offer the newly wedded couple a few words of congratulations/ advise/ blessings. The pen would make a lovely souvenir for the guest and the card an exceptional memento for the newly wedded couple.

4. Pastries/ candies/ chocolates - another way to keep the guests in sweet mood is to provide bite sized pastries as the centerpiece. A jar full of candy and jello beans would also make a wonderful centerpiece.

5. A tiny aquarium - you could use a small round bowl with two gold fish as the centerpiece. You could have different fish at different tables making it curious for all to see ‘what fish you have at your table'. Ensure though the bowls are covered with protective mesh lest anything would find its way inside and kill the fish.
