Weddings will always have a theme that will go with the season or the current climate on the time that the ceremony will be held. Having stated this, the wedding reception should be an extension of the wedding ceremony and must sync with the theme of the actual wedding itself. Wedding receptions are one of the most awaited events of your guests and invitees. There are lots of different ways to make your wedding reception truly astonishing. You can go with flowers, favors, candles, plants, fabric and place card holders. Here are some tips in making your extraordinary table decorations.

The most popular wedding reception decor is flower arrangements. These can either be large or small arrangements. Large arrangements are great for outdoor weddings, using flowers and greenery in pots to decorate the tables. You can offer the pots as favors to members of the wedding party or special family members. For small arrangements, fill vases with long stems of roses or daisies against white tablecloths for an elegant look.

Use candles alongside flower arrangements to give an evening reception a beautiful glow. Floating candles and flower petals create a unique centerpiece. Hang candle lanterns above the tables inside a tent or an outdoor gazebo to create a well lit atmosphere.

Place flower pot pens in bunches at tables in lieu of flowers. Have slender vases to display calla lily-topped pen favors and pile boxes of Jordan almonds and with layers of organza or tulle fabric.

Another nifty trick is to use fabric as a table runner. Use alternating colors to make a crisscross pattern on the white or colored tablecloth. Then use double-sided tape or safety pins to secure the tablecloth.

Use themed place card holders to display place cards. Use seashell holders for display at a beach wedding or use these cute flip flop place card holders for a fun look. At a garden wedding, use garden themed wedding favors for an elegant table display.

Having floral favors in the décor would fit nicely for spring weddings. Daisy candle favors offer a fresh spring feel to your wedding reception tables. For a summer wedding, add coconut candles to the tables for a tropical, luau theme. Mix the coconut candles with these palm tree candles to complete the luau look.

An autumn wedding calls for a warm palette of color. Bright red and yellow colored fabrics with autumn leaf place card holders are a great combo. To decorate the guest book table, use fall-inspired boxes with brown or gold bows filled with Jordan almonds.

To set the mood for a winter wedding, a mini Christmas tree decorated with pretty snowflake place card holders. Arrange the place cards for the table around the tree. Create a winter wonderland scene on your wedding reception tables with these snowmen candles. Give your guests a place to set their warm cups of cocoa with these frosted glass snowflake coaster.

By using your imagination and creativity, you can create a beautiful scene on your wedding reception tables.
