When you are planning a wedding toast there are many things you need to keep in mind. First of all, you are likely to feel a little nervous about giving a speech and you may not know what to write or even how to get started. I have put together these following steps to help you get started. Just follow the steps to write and deliver the best wedding speech ever!

Step 1 - Start Writing

When you sit down to start writing your wedding toast you probably want it to come out perfectly the first time around. However this nearly never happens well in all reality it never happens as there is always something you can approve upon. You need to plan on at least one draft, if not two or more. So, simply sit down and start writing. Let the ideas come to you and just see what you get down on paper. Write down different things you want to mention such as key points. Once you are at this point you are better prepared to take the information you have and create a really great wedding toast or wedding speech.

Step 2 - Create Your First Draft

You want to create your first real draft for your grand wedding speech. This includes sitting down and thinking of a good way to start, a great joke to get the wedding toast started, or even just a funny anecdote. Think of a few sincere ways to tie in the significance of the wedding and don’t be afraid to get a little emotional. As you are writing, you will find the heartfelt words you are looking for so be sure to write them down.

Step 3 - Final Draft

Once you have completed your first draft of your wedding toasts or wedding speech it is time to present it to a few friends and read it aloud. This will give you the best idea to see if they speech flows. Consider the feedback your friends give to you they are key pointers in making your wedding speech grand.

Step 4 - Memorize Your Speech

This has to be the most important part! Memorizing your wedding speech or toasts gives it a true feeling of being genuine. It gives it a feel of it coming from the heart like you are giving the wedding speech or wedding toast and not reading it. Memorizing your wedding speech is very important I can not stress this enough it should become second nature to you.

Step 5 - Giving the Toast

When it is time for you to give your wedding toast be sure to look people in the eye and include the whole room. When address the bride or groom make eye contact with them it will make the speech feel more sincere. Be sure not to rush your speech, take a pause when necessary such as making a point or giving time for your guests to laugh.

Step 6 - Finishing Up

When you are finished with the toast simply raise your glass, toast the bride and groom, and take a sip of your champagne. Now it’s time to enjoy the rest of the wedding you just gave one great wedding speech or wedding toast great job!

I wanted to share with you this site that has really helped me in preparing my wedding speeches and wedding toasts. It gives great samples to help you get started with step one and improves upon the points I have given above. All Types Of Wedding Speeches and Wedding Toasts
