LOW BUDGET WEDDING TIPS!

  1. Bouquets, Corsages and Boutonnieres
There are so many details to a wedding, that cutting tiny expenses can really add up. So instead of ordering real bouquets and corsages, which could cost hundreds of dollars, you can make them yourself for a lot cheaper!

Not only can you save money by making bouquets and corsages but why not make the boutonnieres too! The boutonnieres generally cost around $8.50 each and up, but are so simple to make yourself.
  2. How do I make Bouquets, Corsages and Boutonnieres?

Things You Will Need

  • 1. An assortment of flowers real or silk which ever you prefer. You can pick one solid color or many colors that will coordinate with your wedding theme.
  • 2. Some baby's breath, you can get this at your local craft store.
  • 3. A three leaf stem(s) for corsages and boutonnieres or single leaves for bouquets.
  • 4. Green or white craft tape.
  • 5. Satin ribbon (traditionally white or colors of your wedding)..
  • 6. Pearl Pins for corsages and boutonnieres.

Three Simple Steps

  • 1) Remove unwanted foliage from flower stems and group flowers together to make a beautiful assortment.
  • 2) Bind the stems together with craft tape. Conceal the craft tape by wrapping it with a coordinating satin ribbon and wrapping it upward.  Use a pearl pin to keep the ribbon in place or tie the ribbon into a bow if you prefer.
  • 3) Make any final adjustments in the bouquet ensuring the stems are cut even and remember the pearl pins are great for corsages and boutonnieres.

Bridesmaids Dresses

How Much Is Too Much?

Its your wedding day and you want everything to be perfect, but lets face it, not everyone has an extra couple hundred dollars to spend on a bridesmaids dress. Which brings us to the question "How much is too much?". Whether the bridal dresses are purchased by you or the bridesmaids, here are some tips to get the wedding of your dreams without a budget nightmare.

  • You can chose a color at your bridal shop and then allow your bridesmaids to pick out their own dress. Allowing them to pick out different styles and price ranges in that same material, might be easier on their budgets.
  • Go to a local store that sells prom and formal dresses. These stores usually sell prom and formal dresses cheaper than wedding shops and usually arrange in a variety of sizes, styles and colors.
