Week 27 Swine Flu Map

Talk of Swine Flu Vaccine

There has been much talk of a mandatory H1N1 vaccine. The CDC is just recently isolated the new H1N1 virus, made a candidate vaccine virus strain that can be possibly used to create a vaccine and is working with other agencies and industry to begin testing. Making this vaccine is a long multi -step process requiring several months to complete. This may become mandatory because given the virus activity to date, the CDC anticipates that there will be more cases, more hospitalizations and deaths during the influenza season this Summer fall and winter. The Government can't mandate something that has not been tested, trialed or produced effectively.

Please see previous reports to see how the numbers are rising, this is only in the United States, not other countries with more cases and deaths.

Paper Moon, I wouldn't take the vaccine either but no reason to panic, I don't think according to my reasearch they wll have one any time soon and madating it would be against our civil rights.

Gyspy Willow the news just gives rounded off numbers, this is only in usa. Britain has 55000 cases and climbing,

Kiran, I kept finding different numbers for India and did not want to e inaccurate so if you know the number, could yo please let me know?

I wish the government would make their mind up on how serious swine flu really is.

I read in the Daily Mail a week back this (just Googled the headline. "The swine flu vaccine being offered to 12 million UK children may not have been tested on infants by the time the first batches arrive" What??? Well that's just great isn't it. I've been doing my own research and book a few ebooks (nearly all rubbish) except one with is a "real" book in downloadable form. Over 300 pages and definitely worth the read. I figured I can't trust the government to I'm taking of the kids and me, myself.

I am so glad you are writing your hubs. I have written many on various ways to boost the immune system. No the gvt is not releasing figures anymore because they are rising. Just yesterday, I discovered a bill which is trying to be passed in the state of MA which totally takes away peoples rights..I am hoping that the people will be strong enough to fight it....and not allow it to pass. If one state passes a bill such as this, how many more will follow.....

There is a link to an article in the hub in which it is stated there is no vaccine..Who actually can tell what is correct and incorrect any more. I know they are working on one, but again, there is no time for testing it out. It is stated that this virus attacks the immune system. So it is my thinking/opinion that we all need to boost our immunities. Various vitamins will actually help do this for us....Some of the ones we take do not actually have the correct amounts in a multivitamin for what we require....This would be a point of research for all to make sure they are getting enough of the correct vitamins...

Thank you for writing your hubs...God Bless
