Weekending Rant
58The Rant, Good news,
I drive a tractor trailer. I see a lot of dumb people. Like Friday night while driving on a three lane highway a motorcycle and his passenger pass me in the third lane merge to the lane beside me and then try to merge to my lane, but they tried to cut directly in front of me. A 35,000 pound piece of metal going the speed limit and if I wouldn't have let off my accelerator and my brake retarder blast to get this guys attention he could have been a pancake. Saturday night in Winchester Va pulling into the grocery store I was delivering to, I was making a left some idiot thought I would be able to swing 70 feet of truck around this car that was turning out of the entrance I was trying to go in. Apparently this moron did not realize I could have ran the front of his vehicle over, I could have also ran over the cockpit, How genius did this person have to be to figure that I was not turning because him and two other cars were in my way?
The weather is starting to get nicer and some not all but some people are just lacking the thing inside of their skulls. This making making people just plane dumb. Now I know I was like this before I started driving truck. But when my little brother started to drive truck I learned to respect a commercial vehicle, a big truck, a tractor trailer. Now that I drive a big truck I have to really use my head, and I know for certain many non commercial licensed drivers think, all you do is drive, well no! Truck drivers have to pay a lot of attention. Sometimes drivers do what there supposed to do and thing still happen, like an idiot on a motorcycle not paying attention and almost cut right in front of me while I was in my truck.
This new administration, the treasury secratary, Tim Gietner, saying he want to see other countries governments spend more money in their respective countries to help fight this economic problem. Are we that crazy that our leadership is trying to control the rest of the world? Last time I checked it was our government leadership that caused the problems not only in the U.S but world wide. So why should these countries use up all of their assets to fight the problem we caused? This is an example of some countries and the citizens of them don't like us,or I should say or government.
On a bright side Delaware maybe getting sports-books added to its casinos. Governor Markell wants to pare back the loses the state of Delaware has lost due to this economy. The betting would be parlays either a two bet or two team parlay, no single bets. This would generate so much money for the state of Delaware. I think Pennsylvania should do this also, imagine the gamblers from the east coast coming here. Delaware will win twice if this gambling law passes, it will gain the monies lost on bets plus it will create tourism. People who gamble and bet don't want to travel to Las Vegas all the time, so if one or two states had sports-books almost any state that doesn't have sports betting east of the Mississippi, these gamblers will go be tourist in the state or states that have full out gambling or sports-books. This is a win win for the states and its citizens. This would create jobs, help with he fight on alternative energy, help pay for road reconstruction, even help out the education system. Come to think of it all this is true if the federal government would legalize online gambling and tax it at a fair tax rate.
Next week starts March Madness don't forget to get your brackets ready. Sunday night is the selections. Also here is tip for your brackets. Number 1 seed never lost to a 16 seed. But a 2 seed has lost to a 15 seed seven times in sixteen tries. Giving the 2 seed a 9-7 record. Select wisely have fun, good luck!

In with a bang, out with a whimper. It was an anticlimactic end to Rudy Giuliani’s political career. The steel-jawed hero of 9/11. The exhausted second-term mayor, revived by the terror attacks. The perfect politician for the Anxiety Age.
