Weight is not an issue, only a health concern

Accept your partner, no matter what the scale says. It's just a number. Being overweight however, is a health risk. With that said, it is what's inside that counts. Why should it matter if the person is heavy. Some men like curves and something a lil' extra to hold on too. Not every guy wants to grab on to a bunch of bumpy bones. Same goes for women, some women like their men to have a little gut and a hairy chest. Not every women cares to have a shaven ripped man. I'll admit, I like a hot body, but I'd rather have a man with a great personality who's got a little somethin something....than a nasty, cocky, guy with abs of steal. Seriously.

Dating someone who is overweight is not an issue, BUT (and that's a big butt ;0P) the fact that they are at high risk for heart disease, diabetes and an early death, is what is the BIG problem. You should not however, be critical and mean about it. If this is someone you love, positively approach them in a way that is kind and sincere, make an effort to make plans to workout with them, get on a program. Find ways to diet and eat in proportion. I don't know if obesity or being overweight is hereditary, but I do know it has a lot to do with the person's lifestyle and their eating habits. They need to try to make a conscious effort to lose the weight. With hard work and dedication, it can happen...and you can help them along the way. Be their support system. There are some really great workout programs out there, join your local gym or speak with a nutritionist.

I really love SparkPeople's Swimsuit Bootcamp: Go to www.sparkpeople.com and in the search type in: swimsuit bootcamp

There are 7 video's you can watch, or they even have a printable version which is very easy to follow.

They are simple and effective. You can do it all at your own pace!

Thanks for your answer to my request. Your input is always appreciated. I know that there are a lot of health risks involved with being overweight. However, there are many Americans that are obese and some are what doctors refer to morbidly obese. There are many who see these people in a much different light than you do. Thanks again!
