Losing weight is hard for some people. If one eats less, their body gets used to the lower amount of calories and they need less to maintain their weight. Consequently when they eat more, they gain. Some people can eat all the macaroni and starches and gain. Others can eat the same and they lose. There are low-carb, and hi-carb, low fat, and high fat diets, but the one thing everyone needs is fiber, that is anything that slows down the digestive process and exercise. It is a simple matter to substitute whole wheat bread for white bread, brown rice for whiite rice, and it will taste better. In brownies, whole wheat flour can be substituted for most of the white flour, and other things can be done.
The next thing is exercise. A good walk about an hour every other day at least is good, walking for six days is better. Lifting light weights don't do much, but lifting weights that you really have to push your heart in it help. You may not lose that much weight because muscle weights more than fat, but your clothes will feel much looser and you will be slimmer and healthier.
