Tiegen Quinn McCallum came into the world on December 1, 2008, at 2:51 p.m., weighing 8 pounds 1 ounce and is 21 inches long!
He is my first grandson and he is adorable.
My daughter, Melissa Dawn (new mom), weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was born on January 2, 1977 at 4:18 a.m..
We are going to have much fun with this little guy!
****I just found out that they chose the name for him from one of those Baby Names books. They wanted his name to be orgininal!
For his first gift he will get a personalized, baby blanket that I will be making myself. I will be hand embroidering his name and birthdate on it. It will match the other crib sheets and bassinette cover and pad covers that I have made.

Day 2
Teigen has finally learned how to nurse with a bit of help from the Training Nurse. I talked with Nate because Teigen was having his breakfast. The family is going to be going home today sometime. That is so great! I am glad that she is nursing him. There was another report of tainted formula that killed many babies in the last month. Nursing is the only way to go!
Teigen doesn't like sleeping anywhere but on Mommy or Daddy. Thisgs will be different once they get settled in at home.
I will be calling them later this evening after they get settled in.

Yes Dennis is tall--6'5". I seem to get the tall ones. Missy's dad was also 6'5".

Are the parents fond of football, baseball or basketball? If he is going to be tall maybe basketball is a good sport.

Hi Deb....beautiful family, beautiful little boy. I have decided not to read hub pages anymore, as they are far to "staged" for me. In other words, folk can choose to approve or deny a comment. Which makes it just more preaching IMHO. (I am not referring to you) But Im glad I came to see him. He is wonderous. What a great xmas gift for the family...I cant wait till Im a grandma to!!!! Well I am so on Cloud Nine!!! Everyone, Thank You for the Coments! I hope some of you come back beccause I will be adding new things here as time goes and he grows a bit more. We are going to be celebrating Christmas at their house this yeah and it will be on Jan 3. They need some time to adjust to their new baby and him his new home. That makes it great becasue we can get lots of things at deep discounts for them the day after Christmas!

Wow, I know the feeling! Isn't it great to be a grandmother? I absolutely love it! I have bonded so well with my grandson, Kason, that I almost feel as if he's my own. You are truly blessed!

Unfortunately we live 1 1/2 hours away. We had a great visit today though......it was out family Christmas, Thanksgivig, Daughter's Birthday all in one day! Oh and a celbration for Teigen! He lsept most of the time today and will be keepkng his momy up late tonight! Ahhh the joys of new parents! LOL

Proud Mom, yes that is how you pronounce it. We went to visit yesterday nad my daughter showed us her hubby's baby picts and he looks just like his dad! He's still not in tuned with his body yet and he still sleeps when his mommy doesn't want him too. I told her that she slept through the night at 6 weeks, so she has something to look forward too. He is a beautiful little guy!
The present you made is absolutely lovely, and he's a beautiful little boy. I'm sure he'll add love and happiness to the whole family. Your daughter's practically the same age as I am - I was born in March 1977.
But to be honest, the name doesn't do it for me, I prefer real names, not "unique" ones!
